Head banging to music alone is embarassing?

Not really.

I just got back from Vader and Decapitated, that show kicked my ass

Vader ended the night with a flawless cover of Raining Blood, it was awesome.

Riva 11-19-2005 04:16 AM

Vader headlined? Nice. I wish they would come Down Under. :(

BoboTheRagingHobo 11-19-2005 04:23 AM

Yes, that would be indeed awesome for you.

Vader headlined, and Decapitated was before them and they were both on the level of insane. The bassist for Decapitated is insanely good to say the least, but it sucked not to have two guitars live. They were missing a guitarist, so the sound wasn't as full and powerful live, but it was still awesome.

I was amazed the show was onle 12 dollars.

And I bought my self a Decapitated shirt, wewt.

NP - Children of Bodom - Punch Me I bleed

Wow, this new Children of Bodom is quite bland and boring so far. :\

Riva 11-19-2005 04:38 AM

Yeah, I thought that about Are You Dead Yet? also.

Nice work on the cheap tickets!

Meanwhile, I need to start writing post-its to remind me of threads I wanted to post in, bump. I always turn the computer off to go out and then think, "Oh crap! I forgot one!"

Stoic 11-19-2005 04:45 AM

I dont headbang too much but when I'm out and a song is playing in my head I act like I'm listening to it and...now this IS embarrassing :p

Bartender 11-19-2005 04:59 AM
I have a hard time getting into recorded metal enough to headbang. Live metal is a passion of mine, but as far as albums go I tend more towards non metal a lot of the time.
I'd agree with that. Of recorded artists, only Manowar makes me do so.

Looks like I missed some interesting conversation, for once :(

EDIT: A certain video for a certain magikal user:

I agree.

Although the new songs are more enjoyable live. Bland on the album though. :-\

Jom 11-19-2005 10:38 AM

I'm so pumped: it's forty-seven degrees out right now. Hopefully it stays like this so when I have my crazylong drive back home for Thanksgiving holiday, there won't be slush/ice to deal with :hopeful:

Leper Affinity 11-19-2005 10:39 AM

Is 47 high?

Lately it's been 20 down here. :(

Jom 11-19-2005 10:46 AM
Is 47 high?

Compared to the freakin' ridiculous temperatures we had the past three days (we got into single-digits in you factor in windchill), it's nice to see the snow starting to melt, heh.

So yeah, 47 registers pretty high on the thankGodometer at this point.

Leper Affinity 11-19-2005 10:50 AM

Actually, it's high for my home too. It's been windy as hell lately, and with the already low temperatures it is outragiously cold for any season. I like the cold anyway. I wish it would snow more here.

Arrakakaka 11-19-2005 11:13 AM

Mmmm. Maple bacon and All Else Failed.

NP: All Else Failed - "Travis"

I had to walk to school in a pirate costume for charity yesterday, and i was freezing my face off.

Pirates ++
we didn't have a charity day for Children in Need, although for Breast Cancer awareness day we had a "Pink Day." as i don't have any pink clothes, i got a girl mate of mine to paint my nails pink. then when i got home i found there was no nail varnish remover in the house, so i had to scrape it off :(

NP: Rush - 2112.

Arrakakaka 11-19-2005 11:41 AM

Use a screwdriver to peel it off.

NP: Mastodon - "Aqua Dementia"

Bartender 11-19-2005 11:41 AM

Charity days are reasonably fun around here, because a bunch of the people that care tend to dress up with a 'schooldays' motif to collect money at the Union. In practice, this means that the guys that care look the same as they do any other day, while the girls that care all dress in their old school uniforms.

Also, I just realised that I totally failed to notice my hair's third anniversary. Took me nearly two weeks to realise it has passed.

NP Canvas Solaris - Szygial Epiphany

Bartender 11-19-2005 11:43 AM

^Nice. Coincidentally enough, I just first heard R.L. Burnside myself recently, though I don't actually know anything by him yet. Found out about him from the same guy that pointed me to Solomon Burke though, so I'm expecting great things.

Arrakakaka 11-19-2005 11:48 AM

Whoa. My bird is makin' some cool sounds.

I'm going to teach it how to say, "May the hammer smash the cross!"

NP: Novembre - "The Dream Of The Old Boats"

Arucard 11-19-2005 11:56 AM

Im listening to some good ol' Avenged Sevenfold.

or airdrumming.

I always have the keyboard on my lap, soetimes I'm airdrumming and hit my fingers on the keyboard, it hurts like hell and looks stupid :(

Arucard 11-19-2005 12:00 PM

I'm airdrumming now :(

Its hard not to, The Rev is so good!

Jom 11-19-2005 12:04 PM

U of M / OSU game. Helllllllllllll yeah.

I can't wait to razz Jenny. I've done extremely well in not talking trash all week, but I hope it's a good game.

Jom 11-19-2005 12:09 PM
scUM vs. OSU? I can't decide who I hate more :(
It's cool, NCAA basketball will roll around soon, and Sparty can bwomp on you guys :p

Jom 11-19-2005 12:14 PM
So you root for scUM in football season and MSU in hoops season? That's like rooting for the Yankees and the Mets, or the Lakers and the Clippers. Doesn't make much sense to me.
Yeah, but you're comparing two teams in one sport, instead of two schools over two sports :)

I'll root for my homestate for anything. Of course, I just don't get my hopes up when U of I plays U of M in basketball. Football's another story, of course.
