NP: Queen - Death On Two Legs

(thanks to you guys  )

Ya already Ray's sounds sorta bias. He calls John a "worry-wart" but in a real negative way (the context of why he said it), and he sounds sorta like an ego manic.

Well John was too uptight. He developed a skin condition (rash) out of fear and worrying about Jim. It went away the day after Jim died. How about that. Ray is quite a character though, he sure likes the legend of The Doors.

I beleive he was influential in founding punk

Where are you getting this info about the Cream tickets? I would kill for any up to around 125$, maybe more, depending on the seats.
I thought they were all 500$, so I didn't even think about it. I think I will go for them too :)

No One Here Gets Out Alive*
Stephen Davis's biography on Jim Morrison is the way to go.
I liked Davis', but I do prefer NOHGOA.

Jim Morrison?

Jim Morrison?
Ah, no, I quoted the wrong one, I meant Ray Manzarek

Ticketmaster. I don't think my parents would let me spend 129.50, which are the 2nd cheapest seats.

jpj 09-15-2005 07:28 PM

To whoever asked: The George Harrison album is called Extra Texture.

To JonG: Yes, please :) If you want anything http://rateyourmusic.com/user_albums/album_list_id_is_82421_and_list_type_is_owned

Slightly more on topic: I haven't read any Doors biographies, but I did read Searching for the Sound by Phil Lesh, which was very good. For some reason I respect the Dead even more after reading it.

Bah, I just asked my parents and they were'nt any help (meh, they'll have it on DVD anyway, and it costs so much to go to NYC, blah blah blah) The worst part is that they are right

123 to respecting the Grateful Dead more

Lunch 09-15-2005 07:37 PM

Ah ha, your parents suck.

robo2448 09-15-2005 07:40 PM

My mom said that if I didn't get Cream tickets, then I could go see Bruce Springsteen, so I'll get to see a great concert no matter what. I'll be pissed if I don't get Cream tickets though. It would be awesome if I could go see both.

Lunch 09-15-2005 07:41 PM

That would be like running off a cliff for me.

Walrus Gumboot 09-15-2005 07:41 PM
Ah ha, your parents suck.
If I had a ride and someone to go with that know what they were doing, then I'd definatly go for it

Both of those are in short supply, though

Wow, Tales of Brave Ullyses live. Wow.

Lunch 09-15-2005 07:43 PM

I really hope I can get tickets for Cream.

I'll listen to Live Cream I and II tonight in anticipation.

Broken Arrow 09-15-2005 07:52 PM

I hope at least one of you get to go.

I don't need anything. It's cool.

Does anybody else think that rateyourmusic.com is incredibly slow?

pohl_56 09-15-2005 08:00 PM

Aright. I know that probably very few of you like Cheap Trick but I really need an album of them. I have been craving one for so long now its unreal. Can anybody help a guy out and send the file out?

Walrus Gumboot 09-15-2005 08:01 PM

The Pizza Tapes should have been e-mailed to y'all

I forgot to write that it is .wma, though

Broken Arrow 09-15-2005 08:02 PM

I just got that, thanks.

robo2448 09-15-2005 08:04 PM

That'd be awesome if we both went. I think if we get on ticketmaster the minute the tickets go on sale, we shouldn't have a problem. I'll be at school when they go on sale though, so I'll have to teach my computer-retarded mom how to use ticketmaster.

Lunch, are you planning on getting the cheapest seats?

MBS 09-15-2005 08:04 PM

Yeah, I just got it too.

I finally got Wired by Jeff Beck.

Love it, much thanks 'Bus. :)

Did you get White Light/White Heat, Thick?

Broken Arrow 09-15-2005 08:06 PM

The email I got containing White Light/White Heat didn't work.

I'll my sure my mom is ready to go at 9 a.m. I probably plan on going for the $130 because I'm willing to pay that and I figure I might at well spend the extra bucks.

I could pay 130 if that was the only way I could see the stage. I don't mind being high up or far away as long as I can see the stage. I'd like to get $65 seats as long as I can see the stage from there.

MBS 09-15-2005 08:15 PM
The email I got containing White Light/White Heat didn't work.
Darn, did the YSI link not work or something?

Jam2Me 09-15-2005 08:24 PM

My friend is going to Cream his tickets were $64. I don't have much of an inclination to go, if the price was right I'd go but I think they're too expensive.

ATM 09-15-2005 08:30 PM

What should I expect from the Pizza Tapes, Amanda?

JonG 09-15-2005 08:49 PM

Woo, got it done.

rockinbass17 09-15-2005 08:52 PM

Awsome, Zappa taking up half the list .

I wouldn't have the time to add my vinyls on there
