Speaking of Revolver...

For No One is the best song on that album. Followed closely by I'm Only Sleeping, Here There and Everywhere, and Eleanor Rigby.
Actually.

She Said, She Said and And Your Bird Can Sing are the best.

No arguing.

Jacaranda 02-04-2006 02:09 PM

Actually.

Tomorrow Never Knows and Love You To are the best.

Fact.

Actually....

LoL

So who here has seen Paul play live>?

magicbus 02-04-2006 02:51 PM

Actually the entire album is amazing (except for Yellow Submarine *cough* ).

Magical_Mystery_Tour 02-04-2006 04:51 PM

Off Revolver(which is a great album), my fav would definitly have to be Elenor(yes I know) Rigby. The violins are really sweet.

thickasabrick 02-04-2006 06:50 PM

I think the Beatles would be better if they weren't so old.

BigTrav415 02-04-2006 07:38 PM
Actually the entire album is amazing (except for Yellow Submarine *cough*
Stick it up/in your butt, Aaron. Bamf indeed.

Taxman is probably my favorite song on teh revolver, followed by Yellow Submarine and Tomorrow Never Knows, but I still think Magical Mystery Tour > Rubber Soul > Revolver. I can't say about the Pepper's, because in all honesty I haven't listened to the whole album yet.

/commiting suidide in the Beatles thread

zabbit82 02-04-2006 08:11 PM
So lately I've been listening to I'm Only Sleeping, And Your Bird Can Sing, and Michelle probably more than is healthy.

EDIT: I forgot Here, There and Everywhere. I'm on quite a Revolver kick.
Not that there's anything wrong with that...:)

About 2 months ago when I got that CD, I must have listened to it three times everday for two weeks. Favorites are Taxman, Tomorrow Never Knows, She Said She Said, Got To Get You Into My Life, and I'm Only Sleeping.

twice.....2002 and 2005!

Kaleidoscope Eyes 02-04-2006 09:42 PM
Is it just me, or does Lady Madonna sound like it was recorded during the Let it Be recording sessions? The way Paul's vocals are recorded sound a lot like how they are on much of Let it Be...
Sort of like how Rain is a dead-ringer for a Revolver cut

Speaking of which, I still think it's a shame that they never relaesed the "hey Jude" album on CD. It's quite a nice collection of songs, blending their later and earlier work

Magical_Mystery_Tour 02-04-2006 10:27 PM
I think the Beatles would be better if they weren't so old.
What does that have anything to do with the quality of the music.

Seafroggys 02-05-2006 12:00 AM

I'm sure he's kidding....

or.....he BETTER be kidding :smash:

Antoine Lemonne 02-05-2006 12:23 AM

Greets,
I prefer Let it Be.

BludgeonySteve 02-05-2006 12:29 AM

Yeah, Let it Be roxorz all of our soxorz.

I know Thickasabrick and he would have been kidding. Or maybe he means something completely different than what we think.
Speaking of Revolver...

It's hard to pick a straight up best song, especially on Revolver, but I think For No One is very under-appreciated.

Seafroggys 02-05-2006 01:48 AM
Greets,

I wonder how many 1 posters there have been

Leper 02-05-2006 02:00 AM

Let's tally them up and title the record "1." Sounds pretty fitting to me.

El_Goodo 02-05-2006 02:34 AM

Woah were almost on page 200. Are we the biggest band thread?

Im glad we decided to keep this thread cool and original by keeping it as "The Beatles" instead of what all the other threads are doing, and calling it something like "Happiness is a warm thread" or "While my thread gently weeps."

Magical_Mystery_Tour 02-05-2006 02:54 PM
Woah were almost on page 200. Are we the biggest band thread?
I don't think so.
"While my thread gently weeps."
Thats a sweet idea. I never thought of that one.

magicbus 02-05-2006 03:09 PM
Woah were almost on page 200. Are we the biggest band thread?
Not at all.

Revolver is so cool.

MidnightRider 02-05-2006 03:25 PM

I'm Only Sleeping is currently my favorite Beatles song.

And why doesn't this thread have a nifty name like "Here Comes The Thread" or something?

blue3 02-05-2006 03:37 PM

We're too cool to have one... I don't know.

Pockets 02-05-2006 03:42 PM

someone should start a beatles music trading list
Matt

blue3 02-05-2006 03:46 PM

Why don't you?

MidnightRider 02-05-2006 03:51 PM
We're too cool to have one... I don't know.
I kind of like it just being "The Beatles," but I can think of a bunch.

Thread in the Sky with Diamonds
Magical Mystery Thread
Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Thread
The Long and Winding Thread
A Day in the Thread
Thread on the Hill
Thread of John and Yoko

No those all sound retarded, The Beatles is just a fine name.

Or, change it to "Second Best - The Beatles"

TheShaneOMac 02-05-2006 04:07 PM

Keep the thread name to The Bealtes please.

Those are all great names.

I like "The magical mystery thread"

Those are all pretty horrible. If you're going to give a thread a catchy name, it should rhyme or fit in well. (ie Post To the Egde (Yes) or Workingman's Thread (Grateful Dead))

robo2448 02-05-2006 04:18 PM

Keep it The Beatles. We fear change.

The best of those are Magical Mystery Thread or A Day in the Thread. But I like just "The Beatles" the best.

Heh. Very conservative in this thread are we?

pigonthewing82 02-05-2006 05:46 PM

Ha ha ha I like "A Day in the Thread"

nobodyblossomsforever 02-05-2006 07:17 PM

"Octopus's Thread"

(i suck at this)

MBS 02-05-2006 07:18 PM
Heh. Very conservative in this thread are we?
Very. The Beatles and Classic Rock are the only tr00 threads around here, title wise.
Or, change it to "Second Best - The Beatles"
That was so funny, I forgot to laugh!

/1st grade ftw
I think the Beatles would be better if they weren't so old.
I agree. Old music sucks. That's why I didn't start a Beatles thread.

.../shifty eyes

Speaking of starting a Beatles thread, I think the name should remain the same. It kind of stands out that way.

nobodyblossomsforever 02-05-2006 08:22 PM

Or "The Thread from Liverpool (The Beatles)".

It needs some hook.

robo2448 02-05-2006 08:35 PM

"The Beatles" is the best name. Let's leave it at that.

nobodyblossomsforever 02-05-2006 08:36 PM

Let's just change the topic. It's just a goddamn name.

Who here likes Revolver?

pigonthewing82 02-05-2006 08:57 PM
Let's just change the topic. It's just a goddamn name.

Tomorrow Never Knows is so awsome, I have a version of Hendrix doing it with Jim Morrison and Johnny Winter, though I can't remember if Morrison does anything on that song but it still pwns.
