I bet i own the crappiest Bass and amp then all of you.. it's a corsair and my amp is only 15 watts so i can't play that loud with my band, and i own a digitechBP80 and a distortion pedal forgot the brand but it's pretty good

Well, I play guitar, and I've downgraded from my Epiphone LP to a bottom of the line Squier Strat, on which the 14th fret on the D string is f[i]u[/i]cked.

My situation with amps has been my MG50DFX (which shat itself during a jam on day), it got replaced with a Behringer 100w something (?), and now I have nothing except for a pair of headphones with the most pathetic overdrive you've ever heard. :upset:

I play a yamaha pacifica, it's ok i suppose, through my zoom. My amp is a ten watt aria, piece of sh!t...i just use line in to record and headphones to jam. And since i have no band, i don't need to play live...

Objectives -

1) Get a band
2) Get a better amp/setup
3) Get the band to play tool

i have a Les Paul classic, played through a crate 120 watt half stack, through the digitech GNX4. I initially bought my metal zone boss pedal for TOoL, but i decided that the GNX4 can produce a much better distortion sound, that you can get almost exact to any track ur trying to cover. My new guitar (schecter c-1 FR) comes in the mail tomorrow :-)

nice, postcount ++? I'm really appreciating maynards vox in the opiate/undertow tracks...the oklahoma show reintroduced me to cold and ugly. It's so raw, and theres lots of little bits where his voice isn't 100% polished which is just cool.

The way he sung cold and ugly on oklahoma concert was alot different on opiate. On Opiate he was like yelling all the words but on oklahoma he was acutually singing... both were cool though.

I think it's pretty similair. But yeah i'm loving opiate atm, specially jerk-off.

Why doesn't anything after Undertow have a lighter feel to it. Don't get me wrong Aenima and Lateralus were god, but, the song, Opiate is really refreshing to listen to after Lateralus.

Hmm. They were recorded a year apart, if I remember the inside cover of Opiate. '90 and '91, I think. Or '91 and '92. They were at the same place though, I believe. At Christmas?

Well, Lateralus was more of a one color album, doesn't change emotions as much. Like I said its like they completely abandoned the major scale. Maybe if they used it on the next single they put out, it would give a refreshing kind of vibe.
