What was the point in that post? that deserves perm ban. |
A perm ban is a bit too harsh for that, I feel.
|
Thanks, munky. I was just about to report that.
Obviously, I don't appreciate posts like that in my thread. It's bad enough that jackass quoted that entire first post, but to make a blatant spam comment as well... that's just lacking brain function. You would think if he quoted the entire first post he would have read the "no spam" thing. |
There needs to be a system for people like that, so that whenever they do something so incredibly stupid, they get kicked in the crotch.
|

Eh...It's hard. If people start getting banned for first offence stupidity then the backlash the Mods would recieve would be awful. Jim certainly isn't up for it. Other than banning them there isn't much that can be done. Bans don't serve a purpose anyway, what with banned users just coming back under a second account. |
Why am I not allowed to start threads? I'm not 12 years old for god's sake!
And what's with all the OTT rules? It's like 1984 round here. |
Why am I not allowed to start threads? I'm not 12 years old for god's sake!
And what's with all the OTT rules? It's like 1984 round here.
You have to have been registered for a period of 24 hours before being able to start a thread. Once you've been around a while you'll see that the rules are really needed. |
where can i post a poll on my band ???
want comments sugestions and advise > not shure where or if i can do this ??????? |
where can i post a poll on my band ???
want comments sugestions and advise > not shure where or if i can do this ???????
If you have recordings and want feedback then go to the forum called "Audio Arena" and post there. If that's not what you'd like to do then please explain further. |

Once you've been around a while you'll see that the rules are really needed.
Why? Troll/spam problems? If so, fair enough. . .I've been using guitar forums for a few years now and it all seemed a 'rules-overkill' round here. Shockingly so. But if someone whines to the mods cos I posted a thread on Miles Davis, even though there already is one on page 2638 of the Jazz/Funk forum, I'm outta here. . . :thumb: |

Lot's of the rules are just common sense though, unfortunately this place seems to attract people who have none :-/ There's only about 5 pages in the Jazz/funk forum anyway, so you should be alright there :p Also, welcome to MX. |
Bear in mind that Jazz & Funk is a different forum to R&M, so the rules here don't necessarily apply there (at least, not all of them). They should still be a good guide though. The mod there is a good guy.
I shouldn't imagine you'd ever have trouble finding something to post in about Miles there anyway. Also, congratulations on having found the rules thread. Most people seem to miss it. |

Can we please make it a rule that if you are going to make a thread, you can't just say {band name} Any thoughts? That's about as useful to anyone as me putting tits on a bull. It's spammy and lazy.

This guy just made two threads on the same band. I've told him what he probably should have done, and the second thread could probably do with a close. |
