I noticed like many of Stratovarius songs follow the same structure. Like usually its a guitar-only intro. Then the drums kick in, etc.

They're not bad...for me, it's kind of a cross between Bodom, Arch Enemy and Nightwish, if that sounds right...

Yeah they're pretty similiar to Bodom. But what can you expect...it's Alexi's other band.

Indeed, I'm a fan of Alexi's guitar playing, so I like them.

Absolutely. Listening to Hellfire Club for the first time...

There's too many ballads on that album. 3 is overkill IMO.

I still love Mandrake the most. Killer album.

I need to listen to soem Edguy later on. I can't believe I still don't have Hellfire Club. Considering I've been wanting it for a while heh. I almost bought it once but walked out of the store with Sonic Firestorm heh. SF has a few good awsoem songs, but over all...meh :-/

Sonic Firestorm pwns. the new album (IMO) was a bit of a let-down :(
Soldiers... is the best song on there, probably the best DF song :)
the only ones i'm not so fond of are the first 2, as they're the ones i've heard most.

i think that currently on my mp3 player, Power Metal makes up 20% of my music, and that's not counting Symphonic or Extreme Power Metal :cool:

I love Sinergy, bought there latest and the album before that, anything with Marco Hietala totally owns, eventhough hes not on the latest and newer CD comming out in October (CoB guys on lead and ryhthm, Stratovarius Drummer and Bassist, how can you not like this band?!!?)

Just saw the Dragonforce reference, I don't much like there new Cd as much as Sonic Firestorm because all the songs pratically sound the same, atleast on Sonic Firestorm there was some difference, still bought it though, of course.

I think I'm the opposite to you guys, since I seem to prefer Stratovarious to Edguy, and that [I]Destiny[/I] is my favourite Strat song.

Also, Bal-Sagoth rocks, even if they aren't fully power metal.

Bal-Sagoth are amazing man, I'm glad I completed their discography this year :)

And I much prefer Strato to Edguy (I love Edguy don't get me worng), my favorite PM is Dragonforce though.

My favorite older Stratovarius songs are Speed of Light, Black Diamond and Stratosphere. I havn't heard much else of the old stuff...maybe 2 or 3 other songs which I don't remember. I do really like those 3 songs though.

When I bought Elements, I only knew the song Stratafortress, and I loved it, so I was like hmm, must be a good album. Hehe

I almost bought the 4th dimension one or what ever it's called, but the case had a huge crack on it :( That and another album I wanted. I hadn't heard songs off of either though.

Stratofortress is KILLER. Best pimp dancing song ever.

My favorite Stratovarius songs is Stratosphere and Stratofortress, I have a thing for instrumentals and strong basslines. Totally gonnna have one of them be my ringtone whenever I get around to getting a cell phone. I also like Hunting High and Low, Black Diamond and Speed of Light.

I have now come to the conclusion that Rhapsody makes the world's worst produced videos ever. And that Fabio bears a strong resemblance to my mom...:amaze:
