I recommend the band Sorhin, and the album I Det Glimrande Mörkrets Djup. It's definitely melodic black metal, although I don't know if i would call it "atmospheric" per se but then again I've only heard it once. Still, it's worth recommending, I enjoyed every song.

Maybe I should check that one out, I only have the full-length and everything is really well done but the vocalist tries to hit King Diamond falsettos and he just can't pull it off. He ends up sounding like 'a toy saxophone' as Tyler puts it.

I haven't heard Black Murder yet. and Ihsahn really blows at King Diamond impressions, or at least he does on The Adversary. Emperor's cover of Gypsy is good though imo.
