Wow. You actually made me proud with that statement.

I promised myself i wouldn't cry...
Yes, i nominate that for the best post ever in this thread! So its a 100% fake or what?

guns_of_brixton 08-30-2005 05:22 PM

THAT is what I've been trying to say, JohnXDoe just said it 100x better. The Clash were a mythical band, I can't explain it but the guy who wrote The Last Gang in Town can. Death or Glory, White Riot, Washington Bullets, Straight to Hell, White Man, I'm So Bored With the USA, Clampdown, Revoution Rock Tommy Gun, fuck, even THIS IS ENGLAND wouldn't mean much without Joe yelping like a fool up there.

CombatRock 08-30-2005 05:25 PM

Would Tim start muttering and stammering lyrics on stage?

guns_of_brixton 08-30-2005 05:29 PM

Well, (Rancid is ok, don't get me wrong) but Tim thinks he is Joe Strummer anyways. If I was there and he did I would throw something towards the stage if I didn't have WAY too much respect for Paul, Mick, and Topper.

Forest_Fire 08-30-2005 06:49 PM

Tim would be killed by rabid clash fans at the first show.

CombatRock 08-30-2005 06:51 PM

Tim dosent have the balls like Joe either, i cant see Tim hitting somone in the head with his guitar, well i cant even seem him lifting up a guitar.

redstainedeyes 08-30-2005 08:08 PM

I think he lifts it up too much...it's like vertical in his hands. I think he has Downs or something.

CombatRock 08-30-2005 08:13 PM

Hahah yes he does have downs. My only complaint is he better not play a telecaster, that would be very dis respectful.

redstainedeyes 08-30-2005 08:18 PM

Word.

alkalinesk8er 08-30-2005 08:34 PM
Hahah yes he does have downs. My only complaint is he better not play a telecaster, that would be very dis respectful.
Don't kid yourself. If there was a reunion, Tim would play a tele.

CombatRock 08-30-2005 08:35 PM

I would jump on stage and punch him then, that would be very disrespectful!!!

Mannik 08-30-2005 08:36 PM

CombatRock 08-30-2005 08:38 PM

hahah, poor tim. kinda feel bad for him. now tim could have a reason to have a brittish accent.

guns_of_brixton 08-30-2005 08:38 PM

Most of the fans would be 40 years old or fag kids like me who were born 5 years after Cut the A'ss.

CombatRock 08-30-2005 08:40 PM

hahah yeap, i was born 6 years after cut the crap. but im older than you i thought? i think there would be more teens than grown ups.

Mannik 08-30-2005 08:41 PM

I was born that year too

For some reason I got the impression you were like 19 CombatRock.

Forest_Fire 08-30-2005 08:43 PM

Was CTC released in 85? If so, I'm a five-years-afterer too.

#1! 08-30-2005 08:44 PM

a little off topic but......
I used to really like tim armstrong and rancid and then I saw the transplants on the warped tour and I thought it was pretty obvious that tim was either drunk off his *** or actually retarded. I think if he did a clash reunion I would lose all respect for him.

redstainedeyes 08-30-2005 08:44 PM

I'm so unconcerned with that record that I don't know what year it was released. Not that it matters.

guns_of_brixton 08-30-2005 08:47 PM

(Cut the Crap was released in '85)

Forest_Fire 08-30-2005 08:49 PM

Woah... so Travis is younger than us? I did not know that.

Mannik 08-30-2005 08:49 PM

I'm considering buying it. They've got it at one of those "Everything Is $10" shops near me ($10 in Australia is fu'ck all) but I'm not sure if it's even worth that. Anybody got it?

guns_of_brixton 08-30-2005 08:52 PM

No, Travis's birthday is 1/2/90.

This Is England is a very good song. Other than that CTC is "a horribly failed attempt at pop music."

CombatRock 08-30-2005 08:53 PM
Woah... so Travis is younger than us? I did not know that.
im older than sean, i though CtC was 84?

1-2-90

Forest_Fire 08-30-2005 08:54 PM

Oh. D'amn. I'm younger than both of you, and Travis sucks at math.

I thought you guys hated This Is England. I've always liked it.

CombatRock 08-30-2005 08:55 PM

Yes math isnt my subject hahaaha, but i pwn at spanish and history.

This is england is meh....

Mannik 08-30-2005 08:55 PM

Sorry for being a typical noob, but which of you is Travis?

CombatRock 08-30-2005 08:55 PM

Forest_Fire 08-30-2005 08:56 PM
