*kicks Joe's ex in the head* Stoopid mean people p*** me off. |
Hey Hex, I'm good. I'm still waiting to be paid (As I have for the past 7 weeks). Pissed off a bit though. I was painting a stencil on my bass project (A bass clef) and the paint underneath started cracking and going crappy, so I've got to repaint it again.
On the plus side, I just got a new bass off ebay! :D http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=3743739194&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT Joe, my ex's best friend lied about having Leukimia. We didn't really question it until she went into remission and started seeing the doctor who brought her back to life when she died for a minute on "the table" She's one ****ed up weirdo |
poor joe, bud.... i hate people that pull that crap.
speaking of jazz, our highschool jazz bands auditions are oct. 28, and i get the audition music sometime this week. he said sightreading is MORE important than improv actually. i was a bit shocked at that to be honest. my biggest worry is figuring out how to improv latin and new chords such as like "Bbm9" and such. victor claypool.... i dont like you :upset: jerk, goin to see dreamtheater like that. |

bassweasel: Latin music is a bummer to play... It isn't hard, but you can get messed up really easily, since every instrument is playing a different thing.

*pats* Well, look at the bright side; atleast you have a bass. |
True. I just wish I'd done a bit more research before I bought it. Darn impulse. :D And I can't say as its a complete loss; I'm learning, and a friend actually wants to swap necks because he wants the P-Bass neck for his jazz side project.
Now if I could just talk him out of his Cirrus.... ;) Nah. |

Ugh, I'm sick and sore.
But anyway, I was writing a song earlier..... I'll attach a GP4 file of it so y'all can hear it, if you want. It's just the start or something, I dunno. Any feedback is appreciated. I dunno if attachments are working or what, but i'll try. |

What exactly is it propping up? :p Sorry. I've just been setting money aside for a 4 string and had £400 budget. To get a really nice bass for less than half that is making me happy! :D |

I have loads of summer work. Emailed it off to my supervisor and she's very impressed that I've done so much. I've only done so much because I've got broadband internet access in my room and can download all the articles I need to research mosquitoes and malaria... well, a lot of articles, not necessarily all of them. I'd have to pay money for that privelige |
That is.....
Unspeakably evil... LR
Yeah. I know. Whatever. I need to find myself a nice girl. One that isn't totally insane. I seriously do not know what to say about this. It is absolutley appalling to me that someone could do this. joe |

Theres someone out there for everyone and its just a matter of time until you find her :thumb: |
Oh, snap!!!
First time I've ever posted anything in these. I've always been discouraged because there were so many pages and I'd be behind. Like JoeDaddio, FIRST PAGE, WOOT!!!! |

Right now, its propping up a file cabinet in the Help Desk (I bring it with me to work on the weekends- that's how quiet it is around here, and since I'm all alone, I can do what I want). :D I'm with you on the cost. You got an excellent deal. I'm debating on what bass I should get in the spring... I know I'm definitely going to get a 5 string (I waffled on that for a while, but now I'm pretty well set on it). I've seen some nice Ibanez 405s and 505s on eBay but haven't had a chance to play one yet. Stopped by the music shop in town and drooled over a pair of Cirrus's on the wall briefly; the guy at the counter said he had a Fury and liked it, so I might have to try one of those as well before I make my final decision. I see a trip to Guitar Center in the northern Twin Cities suburbs coming on sometime this winter....
I seriously do not know what to say about this. I hear these kind of stories and wonder what kind of sick person would do that. Well, there's a reason why she's your ex, right Joe? ;) |

Hello all.
I'm surprised I finally caught one of these so quickly. They usually explode. Thats kind of twisted that someone could even do that Joe. Maybe she has mental problems because thats appaling. |

I wish I could do that. unfortunately I work in a bar and for me to sit there and mess with my bass is strictly classed as live entertainment and I can't do it :(
I've seen some nice Ibanez 405s and 505s on eBay but haven't had a chance to play one yet
Yeah, that's the one thing that worries me about buying off ebay, I don't know what it's going to be like. I've played a few Schecters though and they have such nice balance and they've always been just the right weight, so I think I can expect that from this one. Only thing I need to do now is name it. I name my basses after women in songs. I have Layla (Yamaha BBG5A) Tracy (Custom built... thing) and Mrs Robinson (Stagg acoustic). My ex gf said Buttercup but I'd like to reserve that for if I get a yellow bass. I'm gonna think it over |

Joe man, that's just... wow. That's not something anyone should lie about. Period.
My week was pretty uneventful, except for when I bought my new bass of course. Right now I'm listening to a Willie Nelson cover of Bob Dylan's What Was it You Wanted. My buddy ripped the Bob Dylan 30th anniversary CD for me. It's wicked. It's mostly covers but Bob has a few songs on it too. The by far coolest song is a version of "My Back Pages" with Bob Dylan, Roger McGuinn, Tom Petty, Neil Young and George Harrison. Tomorrow I head up to my buddy's cottage for a week of relaxing and fun (hopefully in the sun, but it's kinda grey outside). Planning this sucker was a pain in the *** (I hate it when people don't RSVP!) but it's all gonna be worth it! Then I have to move my arse into my house for school. It's cool though because my one roomie is a drummer/guitarist, I play bass (REALLY?! OMG!) and rythym guitar and one of my other roomies is learning guitar, plus has been recording/mixing music for a few years. How wicked is that? |
Aileene (come on Aileene)
867-5309 girl
For the record, its "Eileen". ;) And I like "Jenny" (867-5309). That one's got my vote! |
