Anyone seen stuff about that film 'The Departed'?
yeah it looks pretty good.
Scorsese is a brilliant director
and Nicholson as a "bad guy" again, what more could you ask for

Mexican Bandito 08-06-2006 02:54 PM
does anyone know where you can download TV programs from?
Downloading Torrents is probably the best way to go :)

theres a link in Media, if you give me a second I'll go find it.

AYe, but it could have been DeNiro...

Damon and DeCaprio are in it too.

PAJJ 08-06-2006 03:16 PM

well i didn't know it could of been de niro, but i don't feel it's that much of a step down, it seems to be and excellent role for nicholson, and i'm quite excited to see hime play it.

Damon well, he can be hit and miss, but i liked DeCaprio in Gangs... (i also really liked the film although it seems to get a pretty bad rep) and Basketball diaries, and he seems to do well when working with Scorsese.

thankyou :-*, i'd rep you but i need more people to rep first, and people outside this thread don't deserve it :)

whooo because of that, i managed to get the get the torrent program sorted, in 2 days 10 hours i should have the complete collection of fillmore :D, yes this was all about a kids cartoon, albeit one of the greatest cartoons ever.

Everything I've seen Damon in has been pretty good.

Thanks for the Rep, btw.

Yer, De Niro auditioned for the role, for this and for 'The Good Shepherd', He got the one in Shepherd first, so...

2muchket! 08-06-2006 03:26 PM

Yeah I thought DeCaprio was quite good in Gangs Of New York. I saw Trainspotting for the first time the other day. Its definetley one of Ewan McGregors better performances.

PAJJ 08-06-2006 03:42 PM

trainspottings an excellent movie and yeah definitley one of mcgregor's best, but it is beaten by by his performance in Big Fish, which is one of the best movies i've ever seen.
Everything I've seen Damon in has been pretty good.
i think he's really good in somethings
Good Will Hunting , Dogma
but others i'm not a fan of him
Bourne......., Saving Private Ryan, Oceans......, although i don't really like any of those movies.

2muchket! 08-06-2006 03:47 PM

Oeans 11 the original was pretty good. The re-make wasn't bad either. As for the sequel don't get me started.

YOu don't like Saving Private Ryan?

It's Speilbergs best!

PAJJ 08-06-2006 03:59 PM

no i don't, the first part of the movie is good, but the rest is just crap, and it really pales in comparison to other war movies like Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, and especially Apocalypse Now.

and shindlers list is far greater

Untitled 08-06-2006 04:09 PM

Cool but it needs more extreme, i mean where are More than Words and Decadence Dance?

Dead Star 08-06-2006 05:03 PM

Muse ftw.

Also Billy Talent isnt too bad either, I wouldnt listen to the cd though tbh.

AG 08-06-2006 05:08 PM

It's a CD for a girl with awful tastes, I wanted a fairly wide mix of kind of accessible good music.

No point in filling the CD with Meshuggah and Jazz Fusion, she'll listen to one track and turn it off.

PAJJ 08-06-2006 05:20 PM

this only strengthens the case for more than words, she'd love it, seriously it's a cheesy 80's hair metal ballad, what's not to love :)

AG 08-06-2006 05:33 PM

I don't have it on my computer.

PAJJ 08-06-2006 05:38 PM
