As far as eating, I believe it's a process. We are naturally averse to the smell and the taste and it takes effort to overcome that kind of hardwired instinct.

First time I tried to chew and swallow a whole turd, I was fine until I tried to swallow. The sheer volume of it just made me gag. I've always been turned on by the smell of *** and somewhat by the smell of **** but too much too fast when you aren't used to it will probably gag you every time.
