Had a good/big band practice... so yeah. But it wasnt productive really...
My band practices usually aren't, we'll only practice the newer songs, our older ones we've played so often aren't worth practicing really...

TheIdiotBox 01-09-2005 01:35 PM

So it has. Soooooooooooo... Anyone know why fluorine is more reactive than chlorine? Or why noble gases are generally unreactive?

Not sure about the first. Possibly because it has a) less bonds b) a virtually empty outer shell of electrons.

Second question i know: Due to having a completelly full outer shell of electrons they cannot gain/lose an electron thus do not react with anything.

Hope this helped :thumb:

lets stop this foolishness nd talk about physics, how about some relativity?

neal_672 01-09-2005 01:41 PM

Chemistry > Physics

Yet i dislike them both...

ToolBox 01-09-2005 01:42 PM

Physics > Chemistry...

TheIdiotBox 01-09-2005 01:42 PM

Neal, you are a genius. Rep ++ for you, my chemistry-loving amigo.

irishslappop 01-09-2005 01:43 PM
Chemistry > Physics

you got to be kidding me, physics is 1000 times better. i dont know how anyone could say that after learning about special relativity.

TheIdiotBox 01-09-2005 01:43 PM

And for everyone's information, physics > chemistry :thumb: .

neal_672 01-09-2005 01:43 PM

 You're more than welcome, i'm quite proud of remembering, i've not had to use that kind of knowledge for at least 9 months...

irishslappop 01-09-2005 01:43 PM
Physics > Chemistry...
yes! good man

smellslikeshoes 01-09-2005 01:44 PM

Hey Irishslappop where in Irishland do you live?

neal_672 01-09-2005 01:45 PM
you got to be kidding me, physics is 1000 times better. i dont know how anyone could say that after learning about special relativity.
Physics is too much like Maths for my liking. And since my maths teacher last year sucked so much i really hate maths. Come to think of it, my Physics teacher sucked too. But i'm more of an English kinda guy myself, hence taking both Language and Literature at AS level this year :p

irishslappop 01-09-2005 01:47 PM

i moved from there when i was 2 but i used to live in Galway

BassVirtuoso 01-09-2005 01:49 PM

Anyone up for a YIM bass chat?

neal_672 01-09-2005 01:49 PM

Would do if i had YIM. But not having YIM no...

*pointless post*
But i'm more of an English kinda guy myself, hence taking both Language and Literature at AS level this year :p
Yeah, English is much more my kind of thing. I was gonna take either Literature or Language next year, what do you think of them?

smellslikeshoes 01-09-2005 01:50 PM

cool. That bass in progress looks pretty ****ing cool.

irishslappop 01-09-2005 01:51 PM

haha love the avatar BV

Fernandes Power 01-09-2005 01:51 PM

Im taking Lang&Lit too...

neal_672 01-09-2005 01:52 PM

Language > Literature.

Lit is good but it's a lot harder and much more work. The coursework for Lang is excellent and the topics generally very interesting. The book for Lit is a little disturbing: "The Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood. The poetry aspect is great though. How you feel about the GCSE courses is a good indicator. If you like GCSE Lit take Lit, if you like GCSE Lang better take Lang. Or (like me) if you can't decide take them both. I'm doing History, General Stuides and Philosophy/Ethics too, it's a lot of work

irishslappop 01-09-2005 01:52 PM
cool. That bass in progress looks pretty ****ing cool.
yeah its really coming along. hopfully to day ill get tyhe pickups and poteniometers (sp?) in today.

Fernandes Power 01-09-2005 01:53 PM

Yea, Language is a better subject... but both my teachers suck...

TheIdiotBox 01-09-2005 01:54 PM

Man I ****ing hate Philosophy and Ethics, I took it a year early and it was one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made. Everything just goes straight over my head, it takes the piss.
