Phill 08-05-2006 11:03 AM

I have been for the last 4 years. What you need to know.

Untitled 08-05-2006 11:07 AM

Right, my mate, whom ordered our tickets, is worrying that we cant get into the festival on the Thursday, because she didnt buy an early ticket pass, or something, will we be able to go on thursday and get in without this thing.

Phill 08-05-2006 11:22 AM

Early entry tickets let you in the campsite on Wednesday. The gates usually open about 10-12 on the thursday.

AG 08-05-2006 12:12 PM

Zoink, back from work.

I'm proper knackered. Also flirting muchly via text with Kirsten, heh.

Yes, basically we each had a wank and then drew a straw, the person with the shortest one drank it.

AG 08-05-2006 12:39 PM

Sounds kinda like cum-biscuits.

jpshortstuff 08-05-2006 01:39 PM

hell-oh youkay peepole

/is a bit tired from work

i served my bassist today and he reminded me that we probably have a gig end of august. we havent practised for a few weeks and we still need to finish/start writing our 5th song for it :-/

2muchket! 08-05-2006 01:48 PM

Haven't played with a full band in ages. That can't be good for timing and rythm. What type of music does your band play JP ??

Mr. Black 08-05-2006 01:49 PM

COD 2 doesn't work on my Crappy Computer. It says "the video card or driver won't run textures" (Or something along the lines of this). What does that mean?

jpshortstuff 08-05-2006 01:52 PM

instrumental metal i guess, maybe a bit of progressiveness in threre aswell. still on the lookout for a singer, and just recently got a bassist. because of our lack of vocals we wont be headlining anytime soon, so we'll just have a 30 min slot or so. hopefully some singer will be at the gig and join us. we aren't desperate though, we're quite happy to jam as we are.

I couldn't play Sim City 3000 for four years for that reason.

I got a new computer with good enough specs a month before Sim City 4 was released.

Jev 08-05-2006 04:21 PM

My computer can't play anything without lagging so much that there's no point in playing anymore.

Untitled 08-05-2006 04:32 PM

my pc is brand new and bloody good, it plays any game out atm.

GurS 08-05-2006 04:34 PM

Question for people who know about home recording:

I've got cubasis on my computer... if I want to record, can I just plug my guitar into my computer with a 1/4" jack-to-mini jack adaptor and record away?

AG 08-05-2006 04:48 PM

No, you need some sort of preampery type thing.

GurS 08-05-2006 04:52 PM

I was planning on using my acoustic, which has an on-board pre-amp... or would that still not work?

And whould I be better off asking in Jam Session? I'm not looking for anything even vaguely resembling a well-produced recording.

Untitled 08-05-2006 04:55 PM

Ive links bass striaght to PC before and recorded just fine.

GurS 08-05-2006 05:01 PM

Good to know, me and my mate will be recording some crap songs and crap covers on thursday

INCLUDING an acoustic version of "The Nothing Song"... we may record some tracks of us cheering, have it low down in the mix, and label it a "live" version :D
