red steel was fun...
One game is not enough to sustain my interest in a console though. Trust me, Wii gets old fast. |

lol no

Wii sucks, but I still want to play some of the games coming out like Super Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros. Once I'm done with them, I will probably flog it.
|
I know why Mario Party 8 got recalled
|
Is it because they said "spastic" in the game?
|
Yes
There was also mention of the phrase "Super Spazztic" |

I baught me one of them from asda a mo ago to take to uni, mainly as an alarm clock, but ive wanted a hi-fi for a while instead of using my PC all the time. |
I've always owned an Nintendo console and I'll be buying a wii. But I'll also be getting a 360 to playy Xbox live as most of my mates are online.
Still nothing beats 4-player super smash bros. I've spent hundreds of hours on that game. I also want Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3. |
Gonna finish drinking some water, then go for a bike ride - its a lush day here.
Im only gonna stay at this job im at now for another 4 shifts i think. I want to live in New Zealand when im older. |
Its hammering it down today.
Think I'll stay in. |
I got back, was absolutely boiling so i had a shower in the garden with the hose [we get free water], i decided to water the garden cause my mum is away, takes fricking ages cause our garden is fecking huge and like a jungle
gonna shave now, trim my hair, hoover my room then try some new workouts :) |
Went for a run earlier came in and did some dumbbell curls. Gonna have a few cans of stella with me dad and then get back to some chin ups and sit ups.
|
I never do chin ups because 1. i dont have anywhere to do them nowadays 2. theyre a waste of time cause theyre not very effective tbh
|
They're working wonders for me. With me including more protein in my diet and doing chin ups my upper body has become a lot more toned rather than just doing weights or press ups. Altho I suppose weight are contributing a fair bit.
|
Where do you get your protein from?
And how much water do you drink? I cant see how chin ups would give you a tone upper body cause theyre an ineffective and inefficient workout that targets very few muscles. |
Protein shakes and I drink a fair bit of water.
Well anyway even if it ain't the chin ups the fitness workouts I've been doing are effective. |
Whats your workout schedule?
|
Runs, Curls, Weights, Burpees, Chin-ups, Bicycle crunch and squat thrusts.
Chin-ups are good because they overall promote some growth in biceps. |
thrusts
they're naughty. Found out at work today that we're having another fundraiser in a couple of weeks time. This time it's superheroes. I'm planning on making a Super Z costume :upset: the lamer and more homemade it looks, the better! 'sup? |
Runs, Curls, Weights, Burpees, Chin-ups, Bicycle crunch and squat thrusts.
Chin-ups are good because they overall promote some growth in biceps.
Chin ups suck for biceps. Stick to hammer curls, bicep curls and isolation curls. What weights and exercises are you on? reps? sets? Im pretty bored here, its been an absolute scorcher today. Feeling very lethargic atm but ive got to drive somewhere in 40 minutes. |
I've just started out with weights and do 10x3
e.g. 3 sets of 10 reps/ |
For muscle gain you'll want to do 3-5 sets of 6-8 reps, with those reps being the most you can physically do per set.
Take out the chin ups, theyre expending energy for no real yield. Take out burpees and thrusts for the same reason and just do deadlifts or squats instead. Hope that helps. |
Cheers. I will do. Plus I feel like a twat when doing burpees.
|
 i feel the same, that and skipping but i have to do a lot of that for boxing.
Just google for exercises and see which you like; some are good for some people and bad for others. Try them out once and never overload yourself. Relax, breathe and get your technique right. If you dont like it, find another exercise that works better for you. |
You a Boxer, Squirrel?
|
Aye.
Initially for the fitness but i've always enjoyed watching. I started about a year back now, thats why i started the weights really. That and i enjoy doing them and am aiming for a better physique. |
Yeah, my friend does it for the fitness. You watch Amir Kahn the other day, good grief.
I watched the Thrilla in Manilla a few days ago too. Joe Frazier is a fucking monster. |
Yeah I saw Khans fight, i was rooting for him to lose tbh, i really dont like him. He's moving up in my estimations but i just find him very over-rated and he things he's the be-all-end-all of fighters. Heaven forbid he fight an opponent above 'meh hes ok'.
The thrilla in manilla was excellent yeah; frazier has one of the strongest wills of any athlete or even person ever. He really gave it his all, i dont think anyones ever tried harder at anything ever. Quite short for a heavyweight too. |
Amir Khan, along with Ricky Hatton for that matter, both do my head in, for the following reason.
Them both being from Manchester, on BBC north west tonight, they have so much coverage of them for about 6 weeks, every night, before the fight, interviewing there girlfriends, 2nd cousins, best friend, and following them around training and stuff, and its just like "is there no proper news?" Saying that, i think my cousin has met Amir Khan a fiar few times, as he boxes, they havnt faught though. |
Far more interesting than watching cars go around a track 70 times.
Or watching one of the most dull, vapid, lifeless sports ever THAT LASTS FIVE DAYS |
Cricket? It's not that bad.
Not as bad as say, Darts. |
Darts isnt even a sport :p
Its a game or a pass time. Id watch darts over cricket though. |
I love watching the arrows I do.
And it is a sport  F1 isn't really a sport but I love it none the less. |
My brother met Amir a few times before he became famous. Dont really care though, boxing is just legalised fighting
|
You could trivialise any sport like that; F1 is just driving cars, football is pushing a ball around with feet for 90 minutes, cricket is standing about catching a ball for 5 days, golf is hitting a ball across a field into a hole, tennis is hitting a ball over a washing line etc
|
You say that as if it's a bad thing.
Personally I love a good scrap. |
