I just hate him and his cheesy songs. I wouldn't be surprised if Jacaranda loves him.
I just hate him and his cheesy songs. I wouldn't be surprised if Jacaranda loves him.
Oh ice-burn. That was uncalled for.

Today we took 3 Standardized Tests for NCLB (No Child Left Behind) I think and it took 3 Periods to do them all (period=55 mins) I finished all three in about 25 mins so I go to take out my iPod I place it upon my ears and not a second after some teacher runs up and rips them off my ear! I was like "Hey bud whats the deal" and she was like "No headphones, you could be cheating!" so I was just like "Uh, ya okay thats what I'm doing cheating on tests that only purpose is to show whether our school should get more funding etc. etc..." any way long story short, I had "Factory Girl" stuck in my head for 3 periods!

...Schyma's storys are much better then mine.

jpj 03-15-2006 05:06 PM

Yours don't have enough psychedelics.

EDIT: I'm downloading an Hourglass album, which is a band Gregg and Duane Allman were in after The Allman Joys and before ABB. I'm really anxious to see what it sounds like.

The other day, I almost killed myself. In Study Hall some kid brought in speakers and hooked up his iPod to them. He proceeded to play "Thunderstruck." I was about to remove my eyeballs from my head.

No, it has studio and live recordings. Duane died during the sessions so they added the live tracks from the Fillmore East recordings. On the special edtion of At Fillmore East it has Mountain Jam plus some others that were on EaP, but the regular edition does not.

Ah now I got it. I have a 2 disc edition of Live at the Fillmore East, so I didn't know why Mountain Jam was on both.

jpj 03-15-2006 08:12 PM

I sent you Whipping Post.

So tomorrow's the big day, yes? Not much talk of it I see. Is the first post ready?

EDIT: Is anyone else having spring break this week?

JonG 03-15-2006 08:50 PM

Wow, 45 minute version of Truckin' on this bootleg.

Dear god.

It's New Years night at Winterland, '72.

What's tomorrow? Is the new thread being made?

zabbit82 03-15-2006 09:03 PM

Is there a new thread? I swear, a few days ago we were on page 1960's ITT. Now it's 2956. Or I was in another thread. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me....

JonG 03-15-2006 09:05 PM

Bob Dylan's coming here.

Tickets are $125.

Fuck that.

zabbit82 03-15-2006 09:09 PM

Well I've been listening to Classic Rock for like 3 years and its my favorite. I dont really want to see it come back though because I'm scared if it came back it might ruin what was so great....but thats just me....:smoke:

Get rid of the crappy avatar, kid. You'll never survive.

Is the first post ready?
What's tomorrow? Is the new thread being made?
Tomorrow is the 2nd anniversary of this thread and to my suggestion I thought we agreed we'd start the new thread on the same day. So yes, to my knowledge it's going to be made tomorrow.

Title: Classic Rock Revisited?

PinkFreud 03-15-2006 09:49 PM

Oh ok. Cool. I don't think anyone's prepared though. Haha.

That's not too bad in comparison. I'd put up.

new thread. very cool. let's make it at 9:37. that'd be eerie.

Phallus Dei 03-15-2006 09:55 PM

I can see the first page already:
Med's post
Metalhead - OMG YOU ALREADY HAVE ONE
Metalhead 2 - i dunt rely like ti

etc etc...

I guess Bob Dylan and the Flaming Lips are doing a show in Ireland together. An odd couple I reckon.

PinkFreud 03-15-2006 09:57 PM

I totally wanna have the second post in it. Everyone else should just let me have it. I'm just gonna take it. I'm so excited.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 03-15-2006 09:58 PM
That's not too bad in comparison. I'd put up.
You'd put up 125$ to see Bob Dylan? I probably respect him more than any single musician but I wouldn't pay that much to see him in this day and age.
Oh ok. Cool. I don't think anyone's prepared though. Haha.
No-one's prepared, eh? Well we can still start the thread up and edit it later....I guess.....did we all agree on whose posting the thread? (Med or me?)

TheDMV 03-15-2006 09:58 PM

a lot of non CR fans will probably post in it just because it's new and there. then we can delete their posts.
You'd put up 125$ to see Bob Dylan? I probably respect him more than any single musician but I wouldn't pay that much to see him in this day and age.
Last time I heard him sing it wasn't great but it's all about the show atmosphere. I might never get a chance ot see him live, so it could be worth it. +cool avatar

Miles Davis is getting inducted into the Rock HoF. Unique choice, but eventually, everyone's going to be in it.
I totally wanna have the second post in it. Everyone else should just let me have it. I'm just gonna take it. I'm so excited.
as long as I get somewhere on the first page.

edit: yeah, miles davis was surprising.....I like him but I don't really think he should be in the ROCK hall of fame.

But then again, alot of people shouldnt...
yeah, miles davis was surprising.....I like him but I don't really think he should be in the ROCK hall of fame.
Well it isn't too bizarre considering Miles was the first one to fuse Rock and Jazz together and he's probably the best Jazz songwriter ever. I wounder what the Jazz community in the 60's would have taken it if they knew 40 years from then he would be inducted into the ROCK hall of fame. They would've been livid.
