I would also love QMS s/t or On the Beach if Forever Changes couldn't be done
EDIT: If anyone wants one of mine, I might upload one out of boredom  |
I can do QMS s/t.
|
If you upload Forever Changes send me it too. I payed 15$ for it before but it's gone now. :(
That's the reward you get for introducing people to new music At least you have someone to talk about Syd Barrett with I was thinking of trying to get this one on a t-shirt: http://www.babelrock.com/news/images/syd_barrett.jpg
I've got plenty of people into him I mean most (if not all) of my friends are into him. Including the rapper! Looks cool I just wish I could have a Syd shirt. :-/ |
I can do QMS s/t.
Cool, do you want the best of Simon and Garfunkel? Demitri martin on Cemdy central now, EST. One of my favorite stad up comedians ever. |
I had to write about myself for an English assignment, so I talked about basically everything that I'm all about (it was a pretty long paper)...anyways, I mentioned Bob Dylan being my favourite songwriter and I went on about him for a bit. I got my paper back, and my English teacher wrote some comments, and one comment went along the lines of "I'd give him a try if he could sing understandable English, until then I'm happy to remain a stranger to his music. Give me some examples of what makes him so great." I've decided I'm gonna make her listen to a couple of his songs. I'm sure she'd at least admit to his great songwriting, even if she doesn't like his voice.
edit- and if I were to upload an album, how do I send it to everyones email? I don't want to be the only one not participating in this. |
Forever Changes is on my computer in m4a, and I couldn't put it on CD since it had a copyright protection system. Still sound appealing?
Classic rock is cool. |

Good to see she's willing to give him a try. Burn her a copy of Love And Theft. Probably Dylan's most incoherent singing ever. Seriously though, I don't see how anyone could not love Blood on the Tracks. I wish my teacher's were into music. |
I can't use m4a's. :upset:
|
I can't use m4a's. :upset:
You should download Winamp. |
She meant his voice was hard to understand and not his actual lyrics, right?
I don't think his voice is even that hard to understand. Maybe it's because I'm so used to listening to him though. |

I'm listening to Blood on the Tracks right now. Alright I'm going downstairs to listen to Slow Train Coming because I only have it vinyl. I've got a lot of teachers who like good music. My other English teacher was really into Bob Dylan, and he really liked Pearl Jam and the Tragically Hip. I've got another teacher who's entire classroom is covered in various Rolling Stones flags/posters. He's a huge classic rock fan, I had him for math and he'd put on the radio station and we'd have contests to see who could name the song faster. I always won except for a couple more obscure 80's songs that I wasn't familar with (**** that Honeymoon Suite). I learned Till There Was You on guitar last night, I seriously recommend everyone to learn this song...it's so fun to play and sing. I suck at singing it though :upset: I can never sing Beatles songs and sound half decent. |

Have you ever listened to Dylan and the Dead? It think that's the pinnacle of Dylan's sloppy singing. |
Bob Dylan's an alright singer. I can understand everything he says, and it sounds fine.
|
I'll do On The Beach, I think.
Sweet :thumb: Sorry Woodstock, I have a .m4a impediment :upset: I ought to learn Till There Was You. That sweet-talkin' Paul |

That would be wonderful! Jacaranda uploads way too many albums for us. Looking through his list I realized that just about every album that I wanted I had already downloaded from him in the YSI threads. |
