My dad has a 1987 Alfa Romeo Spider sittin in the garage right now...he got it about 2 years ago and hasn't touched it...It needs some major work but he's been sidetracked with other stuff around the house. He's got all the parts to fix it...he just needs the time. It'll be sweet when it's done though.

Any car is fine for me, as long as it runs nice

Hence 99% of insurers not.

Indeed, and I mean, it can be justified for perfectly legal reasons too, for example, I'm stuck in traffic, in the middle lane of the highway, and need to move over to the right lane. I need extra power in order to be able to pull ahead safely.

Then the car in front of you slams on its breaks and you're looking to make sure you make it before the car behind you and then you crash into the car in front of you causing a 70 car pileup that kills 16 people, 5 of them children.

Win A Rabbit 11-18-2006 04:14 PM

I'm wearing my new tie for the first time. I love wearing ties.

I have 6 now: 2 diagonally striped both ways, and 2 "pattern" ones that stay consistent throughout the tie.

I have a pink tie with black stripes, a brown tie with white stripes, a white tie with black checkerboard-esque stripes, a black tie with purple dotted stripes, a "grampa" tie with a checkerboard pattern of a bunch of subtle light colors, and my new yellow tie with checkerboarded dark/light shades of yellow.

I'm awesome.

TTTSNB 11-18-2006 04:15 PM

^ No. I didn't say it's good to do things like this, but in very aggressive environments, like cities, you have to do stupid things. Besides, in that unlikely situation, I could dmost likely odge the car on the shoulder (not that I support this). Have you ever driven on a city beltway or anything like that? If you don't drive somewhat aggressively, someone will run you down, I swear.

You can't dodge onto the shoulder, not only are you in the middle lane, there happens to be a stranded family of 7 on the side that you would hit.

I've driven around detroit and its suburbs. A V6 is just fine for what you need to do in heavy yet fast paced traffic.

Just outta curious..

How many 70 car, 16 body pileups have ever happend in the US. Just ever, since cars started goin around..

Actually lets just even it out - How many 70 car pile ups? How many car crashes with 16 deaths?

Then how many of them hold the same terms?

Zero? One?

Oh that's what I thought.

It don't matter the engine size, it's he drivers abbility.

I assure you more people have been killed from cars with V6 and 4cyl's then any other car on the road.

Oh Loser here's some quick facts for you -

Most fatality resulting car accidents happen at 30-40mph, not highway speeds.

Over 50% of all car accident fatailities are in rural areas.

And something like 50%+ of all accident related deaths involve a drunk driver.

Seems to me, having a fast car.. is not really an issue, and it's certiantly not that cause of most accidents or accident releated deaths.

Anyone who hardcore dances deserves to be ejected from the venue and shot IMO.

It ruins it for people who want to have a good time. People did get thrown out of the place i used to work for it.

Berk:

The amount of times ive had to help out my mate (who's a soundtech) by standing by his PA and keeping you douchebags away from it is unbeleivable.

People who hardcore dance shouldn't just be ejected from clubs, they should be ejected from the gene pool.
