We might be going to see High On Fire in February...they're not that bad. Probably be fun to mosh to.

And there's a new doom blog? Anybody care to link me up?

gmoneyguy 12-24-2007 02:11 PM

Surrounded by Thieves is pretty good. I'm really digging The Art of Self Defense at the moment.

NemesisDivina 12-24-2007 02:15 PM

I should check that one out, I need more HoF.

Aakon_Keetreh 12-24-2007 03:23 PM

NP: Acid Bath - The Bones of Baby Dolls

Nostalgia 12-24-2007 04:32 PM

Eliminator 12-24-2007 04:33 PM
Which one do you like?
Paegan Terrorism Tactics.

Brian: Not really, they've released a bunch of demos and they all suck.

gmoneyguy 12-24-2007 06:16 PM

I haven't heard any of the demos. Just their two LPs.

Shattered_Future 12-24-2007 11:08 PM

Thanks for that link. :thumb:

So, I never realized how freaking amazing The Dreadful Hours by My Dying Bride is. Jesus Christ...this is doom done right.

Eliminator 12-24-2007 11:09 PM

Nope.

No prob. What do you think of the blog?

Shattered_Future 12-24-2007 11:15 PM

It's quite good. Few bands I haven't heard of who I can't check out because of hard disk issues, but there's plenty of OM that I've been meaning to listen to.

Elim - why not?

RetiredAt21 12-25-2007 10:50 AM

I hate Acid Bath.

gmoneyguy 12-25-2007 12:31 PM

Well aren't you the rebel.

ATM 12-25-2007 01:25 PM

Rosetta show on the 13th :-D

Nostalgia 12-26-2007 01:44 PM

So I listened to Pilgrimage the other night. It was pretty sweet.

Kage 12-26-2007 01:46 PM

Pilgrimage is awesome. It's probably my least favorite full length Om record though.

Shattered_Future 12-26-2007 02:03 PM

Which would you say is the best? I have that and Conference...

ATM 12-26-2007 02:04 PM

Variations On a Theme rules.

gmoneyguy 12-26-2007 02:06 PM

My friend was telling me how he was blown away by it. I still have to dl it.

Kage 12-26-2007 02:09 PM
Which would you say is the best? I have that and Conference...
Conference is best. And I think Variations on a Theme is a little better than Pilgrimage.

Eliminator 12-26-2007 02:09 PM

i like pilgrimage the most

Kage 12-26-2007 02:10 PM

You just like it because it was produced by Steve Albini.

Nostalgia 12-26-2007 02:13 PM

Om is coming here on the 13th. Definitely going.

ATM 12-26-2007 02:14 PM

You'll have a blast. They were so good live.

Nostalgia 12-26-2007 02:15 PM

Yeah, 21+. ****ing lame.

gmoneyguy 12-26-2007 02:16 PM

haha, I should mail you my old military ID when I turn 21 in a week.

ATM 12-26-2007 02:21 PM

Brian, you should come up to MD in Feb for Zoroaster \m/

Eliminator 12-26-2007 02:23 PM
You just like it because it was produced by Steve Albini.
i actually didn't even know that

it sounds pretty much like their other albums

bhima's theme is my favorite of their heavy songs though. pilgrimage isn't as good as at giza though

gmoneyguy 12-26-2007 03:07 PM
Brian, you should come up to MD in Feb for Zoroaster \m/
If I had the money, I would have no hesitation.

How far away is Maryland from New York? Not that I'd ever be able to go, but man, that would be sooo sick.

ATM 12-27-2007 01:33 PM

Couple hours. Which part of NY though?

Nostalgia 12-27-2007 08:10 PM

Watching From a Distant isn't very good. I'm rather dissapointed.

Vocals make me laugh.

pate 12-27-2007 08:13 PM

You fail miserably

Nostalgia 12-27-2007 08:13 PM

I'm liking Dopethrone a lot though.

Eliminator 12-27-2007 08:14 PM

i agree with pate

Nostalgia 12-27-2007 08:21 PM

Wait never mind, the title track is awesome. The song after that is ****.
