we're going over winter break. like from Dec 19th until shortly before new year. although that may be subject to change. also we kind of prefer greyhound over a car because with gas prices, it'd easily be quite a few hundred dollars by the end of the trip, however greyhound to Seattle and back are under $200. then add in the slight extra charges for splitting the trip in a few pieces and it ends up being just a little over $200 if i remember correctly. trust me, long distance bus-trips are the new way to go! either that or hitch-hiking but i'm not as fearless as many of my other friends when it comes to that. and it'd just be unpleasant hitch-hiking in the northwestern rains during the winter *shudder*.
Wuss! The rains during the winter aren't that band. :p

I'm watching your ipod video again
hella-funny:)

sr800bkBassist 10-28-2006 01:39 AM

you know what i hate? when i'm burning a CD and the program has an illegal operation in the middle of the process. so then it closes and i can't continue the burn, and i can't reuse the blank CD since it's already had data started on it. so i have to get a whole new disc.

The Brad 10-28-2006 01:39 AM

Hahah, I knew I wanted to do something with the painting... but it took an iPod to bring out the plot.

yeah that blows, it's even worse with DVDs. :(

Miek 10-28-2006 01:41 AM

I am listening "Mean Low Water" by 65daysofstatic, and I was watching that video, but I hadn't turned off the music, and it synced up rather nicely and fit together for a bit. :amaze:

sr800bkBassist 10-28-2006 01:55 AM

hey brad, do you know if the local buses run at night?like, say, around 10pm or 12am? for future reference, because lately i've been hearing mixed answers to this.

The Brad 10-28-2006 01:57 AM

No clue. I am up in Murrieta/Temecula, all we have is the RTA and those barely even run. I think they close at 7 or 8 for us.

Efrim 10-28-2006 01:58 AM

Local buses generally run all night in cities, and, in towns, close atvarying degrees of lateness depending on the size of said town.

sr800bkBassist 10-28-2006 02:02 AM

hmmmm
because i'm think like, buses going from downtown into poway (suburb) or from La Jolla into poway. because downtown and La Jolla are both big enough, maybe, for later buses, but buses going from those into poway is very questionable. because i know the suburban buses here close at like 7. but city->suburb is what's making me wonder.

Efrim 10-28-2006 02:04 AM

suburbs, maybe not. They'd run at longer intervals at night as well.

sr800bkBassist 10-28-2006 02:07 AM

eugh, bummer.

Efrim 10-28-2006 02:08 AM

Go check the web, I'm sure they'll have sites by now. Calgary Public Transport does.

Anyway, I'm hitting the sack, need to go look at art tomorrow. I'll take pictures, because I think you'll like these paintings Brad.

Night all.

Pluperfect_Arson 10-28-2006 02:10 AM

Yeah, busses here run until like 3AM in Portland, but, once 10PM rolls around, most busses to all surrounding cities and suburbs stop.

MAX stops running at about 2AM as well.

funkyhoney 10-28-2006 02:12 AM

howdy all

Apparently you can't hotlink off of Deviant...

High school was good for free time. :\

Pluperfect_Arson 10-28-2006 02:23 AM

High school was good for socialising and then dropping out.

Woo!

The Brad 10-28-2006 02:26 AM

My mom wouldn't let me drop out or test out. :\

Pluperfect_Arson 10-28-2006 02:32 AM

My mum, teachers, and counselors were all backing me with my decision to drop out. They just kept telling me that I needed to move on with my life, and that I was far too smart for high school. I was afraid to drop out, though, but then I just went for it. I am at a community college now earning a state high school diploma, and then I am knocking out my two years of community college at the same time.

I really only need to be there a couple months, though, to finish up my credits for a diploma since I entered the programme with like 17 credits, and I need 22.

I have decided that I am going to become a doctor.

That is going to be so much schooling.

One Groovin Clown 10-28-2006 02:33 AM

High school = joke
University = expensive joke

Pluperfect_Arson 10-28-2006 02:35 AM

Uni = expensive, but I will graduate with a six-figure a year job. :p

The Brad 10-28-2006 02:36 AM

Typical university students = joke.
I don't know I hate most of the students, but if you show interest the teacher will show you repsect... at the cost of alienating yourself from the rest of the class. :p

Pluperfect_Arson 10-28-2006 02:40 AM

I already alienate myself from the rest of the class. I have absolutely no friends where I live at currently. I just moved here a month ago, and it is still a growing and developing area, but there aren't many kids here my age that take interest in the same things that I do. All of my good friends live back in Beaverton, which is about forty-five minutes away from where I live now.

I also stopped hanging out with the "scene" in Portland, and I wear normal d00d clothes now, so, I guess, I am not cool anymore. :p

I also don't party as much as I used to, and that was when I would meet up with everyone that I hung out with for the most part.

Oh well.

More time to earn good grades and become a better musician.
