Because Sloth's work isn't all Sloth's work.
Some guy came on here and complained that it was something that he'd written had been posted by Sloth. and he managed to prove it due to post dates and stuff. Its a problem because alot of poetry magazines won't publish work that's been put out on the internet.

TojesDolan 11-21-2006 07:29 PM

Hmmm. Poor Sloth.

=(

What could have lead him to do that? Peer pressure?

=o
I've had to stay in tonight instead of partying in order to afford it.

3 discs = expensive album and a quiet night in :(
I guess it doesn't help that I bought like 12 CDs last week :/

Something in the water. Voices in his head. maybe its because its because we're so cool over here in s&l that he wanted to impress us. I'd like to think the last one is right.
I guess it doesn't help that I bought like 12 CDs last week :/
Probably not. But its a very good album. I went and had a sly drink in the bar anyway, so its not entirely killed my social life, but as soon as i got back it was straight on. Bastards in particular is awesome.

Eliminator 11-21-2006 10:24 PM

god damn

can you retards go one page without discussing sloth?

A_Perfect_Sonnet 11-21-2006 11:00 PM

Honestly, I never liked Sloth's work, plaguarized or otherwise.

TojesDolan 11-22-2006 10:40 AM

Burton don't hide your sadness.

Surf 11-22-2006 11:30 AM

So then, since we're not meant to be disscussing Sloth, how do people feel about the work of James Joyce? Ulysses was excellent, and a great idea. I've just started Dubliners and like it alot. Anyone else read any of his books?

maybe Sloth will come back once his ban is up...

SubtleDagger 11-22-2006 11:35 AM

He lied to you guys for a year and none of his actual songs were really that great, I don't get why you're so ready for him to come back

Also James Joyce is frigging ridiculous

- James Joyce

I love modernist writing.

TojesDolan 11-22-2006 04:51 PM

For instance, I like Bright Eyes.

Eliminator 11-22-2006 06:00 PM

What?

Migraines 11-22-2006 06:52 PM

whoa Tojes, no more acid for you

TojesDolan 11-22-2006 07:08 PM

It was going to be a comment for Burton but he's getting sick of me mentioning him all the time. So no.

Hi Mischa!

Surf 11-23-2006 08:34 AM

Quick new topic:

Minus the Bear are playing here next week. I have never heard anything by them, but my friend wants to go - is it worth it?

I already have tickets for the Quantic Soul Orchestra and Bloc Party, so I'm not desperately in need of a gig to go to.

S&L - you decide my Monday night activities gogogogogogo

TojesDolan 11-23-2006 11:41 AM

I like Minus The Bear, but Bloc Party has some nice beats.

If you already have tickets, use them.

Surf 11-23-2006 11:52 AM

I don't have tickets yet.

To further add to the conundrum, there are two more factors I must consider

1. I could just as easily go to the pub with the rest of my mates and get very drunk = good time.

2. I'm slowly running out of cash. I'd buy drink there, so money I could save by drinking elsewhere (and in a student pub) would be helpful alround.

At the moment, I'm leaning towards the pub, for the lolz.

TojesDolan 11-23-2006 12:05 PM

The pub.

Saving money = Great.

I didn't go to see Slayer because I was limited cashwise, and here I am happy and still broke.

=/

Surf 11-23-2006 12:19 PM

Student loan ftw.

And pub it is. I'll tell her the internet told me to go, so I had to.

TojesDolan 11-23-2006 01:37 PM

No

TOJES TOLD YOU TO AND HE KNOWS WHAT'S BEST FOR YUO YEAH

A_Perfect_Sonnet 11-23-2006 01:56 PM

Bloc Party > Minus the Bear.

Surf 11-23-2006 02:05 PM

Tojes: I'm sure she'll understand, you DO know what's best for me.
She just doesn't have a high enough postcount.

APS: If that's correct then I made the right decision.

TojesDolan 11-23-2006 02:18 PM

I respect low postcounts!

I just don't respect bad attitude at the internets.
