I don't get it:confused: . EDIT: ahhh yes, you were talking about the 8V link. |
Hahaha, it's quite an interesting article, especially all the references in the title track.
Oh yeah, there's one of the references to their influences during Full Circle that the article didn't pick up on - "Sailing on the Seven Seize" is ALSO a reference to Sailing the Seas Of Cheese by Primus. Not really that important, but I noticed they showed the album cover during that part of the song when they played it live. Not that important, but I thought it was worth a mention :D |

During those parts of the songs, those clips from other songs play in the background. Portnoy says those intervals as the clips play. |
Can you explain an example. I just don't understand where abouts in the song and what I'm listening for????
|
At 18.54 where it sounds like he's belching, that's him saying "third". They're all in that section of the song, you just have to listen out carelfully.

They've got you under their spell! Guess there's nothing else to do in Derby :p. |
They've got you under their spell!
Guess there's nothing else to do in Derby :p.
Yes there is...errrmmm... you can go...errr... to town. And you can see all the chavs. |
Derby is a running joke in our family.
NP: Endless Sacrifice |
Time to find all the hidden crap in Octavarium. It's like a side quest in a game.
|
Derby is a running joke in our family.
NP: Endless Sacrifice
Why is this? |
Derby is a running joke in our family.
NP: Endless Sacrifice
Derby's not that bad, I mean we have a metal festival here every year (Bloodstock). This year it had Hammerfall, Within Temptation, Cathedral etc. and previous years there's been CoB, Nightwish, Dragonforce. Do you get that where you live, eh? Plus it's really close to Donnington where Download festival is, and close to Nottingham which has Rock City, one of the UK's best live music venues. |
But it is a bit of a shithole, wouldn't you say? It's a part of Britain, nowadays Britain is full of chav scum and wankers.
N.P: Dream Theater- A Vision. |
True, but there's places a lot worse than here.
|

Like South Wales... :upset: I have to defend DT in the "Battle of the Bands" |
Like South Wales... :upset:
Nottingham, Liecester and Derby are all covered with chav scum. I can't go down a street in town without being called a "fukin' greebo" or being asked "got twenny p mate?". |

That's the same in most places in the country though. They're all skinny little losers. I never get much trouble with them, being 6'4" and about 14 stone probably helps though. |

Yeh, I'm rather macho myself:naughty: . But if there's quite a few of them, it's a tough job I imagine. |
I can imagine they'd all be blown away by the sound of Dream Theater.
"Aaaargh...*covers ears* Music. With. Talent!!" |

Rock city looks a great venue from what I have seen in live DVD's (Cradle of filth recorded the DVD I mentioned a couple of pages back there...) |

Derby isn't very good, don't listen to them.
Still, I would rather be there than South Florida :(. |
Portsmouth (sp?) is probably the worst place in Britian for chavs.
|
South Wales is. Easily. That's where the fucker's were invented. But around here we call them "valley scum". And the people who listen to rock are "Goths". It's either Chavs where I live, or really obnoxious, arrogant, complete cunt-headed Jocks.
|
I got called a goth once in Darlington while wearing a red t-shirt . I love it when chavs shout shit at you.
Chav: Get ya hair cut! Me: Cheers, thanks for the advice Chav: Uhhhh, fockin bogger! |
My towns just full of Hispanic people.
