Well last night i went to an amazing show.
Desa, Men Women and Children, I am Avalanche, and RX Bandits. Well Desa was an amazing opening act and I've been loving them ever since that show. They're basically a rock band with lots of energy who's broke. Then Men Women and Children was just weird. I liked they're music. It was like rock/funk/boogie. It seemed like the whole show was a joke. Then I am the avalanche. A boring generic emo/rock band. Blargh I sat by the fan for them. THen RXB's, My GOD I skanked for like an hour yelling out lyrics. I felt like i was running a marathon. Well it ruled. I suggest you guys check out Desa http://www.purevolume.com/desa Listen to X Million and Ardent Anthem I didnt like them at first but after the show they played I love them. |

Dont often hear a guy admitting that. What went on with the forums yesterday? I couldnt get on at all |
I've been going nuts for the last two days, just itching to post here.
But now that it's back, I have nothing to say. |
What is with the site?!?!?!
It's been bothering me SO much! |
I thought my internet was just screwed. Seems like everyone had problems. Good to know.
|
So I'm back from the Warped Tour.
I still don't understand the appeal of getting bashed up and sweat on and hurt and sunburnt [waterproof and sunproof over 60 SPF my ass], but none-the-less, it was fun. It's damnably emo now though. Before the Warped Tour had motorcycles flying over your head, BMX bikes and skateboards going all OVER the freaking place, huge ramps and a hell of a lot of free stuff...now it's one tiny little half-pipe that's about as tall as I am [so, well under 6 feet], a bunch of emo-tastic bands, not so much free stuff, and the Army and the Marines didn't even bother to show up. What gives =/ Ah well, it was still fun. Got my crowd surfing in, got dropped [lightly, and picked back up again, and not stepped on], got my cartilage piercing stuck on something so it started to bleed, and all of this happened during Less Than Jake's "Overrated," so that was cool. Small, unknown, unsigned bands tend to be really very cool people. Can't wait to go again in LA on Wednesday. |
I went to the Warped Tour a couple years ago. It would've been ok, had it not been about 100 degrees, overcrowded, and filled with mostly bad music.
|
I've only been to 1 outdoor, all day music-fest that was under 100 degrees, and that's becaues it was raining and absolutely ****-tastic.
I hate being sunburnt and hot and sweaty, but God knows I love me a good over 100 degree concert. It makes no sense, but ah well. |
It was probably at least 95 degrees each of the four days of Wakarusa, and it was amazing. Hot and sweaty, but spread out and filled with amazing music and really cool people. Far better than the Warped Tour.
I'm going to bed. Night, MX. |
Eh. The Bouncing Souls were good, Less Than Jake were good, and a whole bunch of unknown bands were cool..like Dork, and Coldfusion, and this one that I can't remember but their logo is spray painted on my pants [how could I pass up a pirate?]..their music is way good, I can't wait to see them in LA.
Free stuff is always freaking cool. And so is making fun of the losers who are just trying to fit in so they bought their entire outfits the day before at Hottopic. I even asked the guy who worked there, he confirmed it. That's a fun game. |
The bouncing souls are pretty good.
Less than jake suck now. They were crap back in march, except when they played old stuff |

heh you probably are Im 6'2 168 lbs This forum is really going slow today, and its not my comp this time i think |
I'm back from the friggen dentist, and I'm determined to find a female dentist when I switch up from a pediatrition. He had my head squeezed against his fricken' chest.I'm almost postitive I felt his nipple brush against my ear.
Ugh. I couldn't sleep, either. I never can. It takes me 45 minutes to an hour to even start to fall asleep. I usually end up getting so frustrated that I quit trying and go listen to music/watch tv/get back on the computer until 4 am when I'm forced back into bed by my mother. Gr. |
....MX...wtf?
|
Yeah, you know there's a problem when the Stronghold doesn't move a single page for two days.
|
I reinstalled windows. Now my sound doesn't work. I get a copy error from the Intel Install disc (OB MB Sound). Lame.
How do you Brush?! |
I suck at brushes.
|
Oh, so the forums don't just hate me, they hate everyone else too?
That makes me feel much better. This is the first time I've gotten INTO the stronghold since I got back from the Tour. |
I like brushes.
|
I don't like brushes, I don't have enough hair for them.
I just use combs now. ...oh wait. |
anybody watching the new Rockstar show, with the new group Supernova?
Pretty good so far, best performances were Pinball Wizard, Knocking on Heaven's Door, Somebody to Love, and Piece of my Heart. What do you think of the group itself? It should be interesting. I don't see them as being especially great, but it'll be interesting to hear their stuff. |
I found a list of "Toolish" bands compiled by some random metalhead. This has brought me to listen to a couple of bands called Earshot and Dredg.
I'm slightly dissapointed. I'm listening to Earshot - Get Away, and the singer sounds like Maynard James Keenan, the guitars are similar to APC, the drumming is LAME! EVEN I could do a better job with this track. The opening reminded me of the opening guitars on Orestes, Blue, or Brena. Deep and haunting, perfect. But this guy on the kit? What does he do? Thumps out quarters on his bass drum... Come on.. What a retard. |
MX you're killing me!
Haha I'm like taking this so hard! I wanna browse drums so bad lately, and MX has been down for what seems like a year. Just by chance it worked right now. |
Do any of you know where i can get a copy of Modern Drummer in the UK?
Im after the most recent copy (with Stewart Copland on the front), as it has Brian Viglione in it. Im london based if it helps, but i would rather get from the internet (Im just after that one copy). |
Dammit. New Breed is so damn hard! >_<

That is the other end of the country. The only place i know is Lakeside, in Essex, but that is mission's. Or I have to spend £10 to travel into london (in far to lazy to drive to a underground station), and look around there. You know any websites? |
Wtf? Has there been anyone info on whats happening?
|

|
