i got a sub earlier from a place i used to work and they diddn't make me pay for it. What sucks is my car is busted so i either gotta take my gf's or walk, and getting up is overrated

I don't know man - the idea of becoming dependent on anything for the sake of calmness doesn't appeal to me. It's all mental, so if it's conquerable, then why not try, rather than just default to meds. Not saying this is the instance here, but I know a lot of people that just run to drugs whenever the slightest opportunity arises. I'm not a straightedge or whatever...I'm also not a pusssy, chu know.

I can totally relate. I've dealt with severe generalized anxiety most of my life, and I put off getting on meds for the same reasons you've listed above. But it finally got to the point where I just wanted to see how they would effect me. I got a prescription for Zoloft, and lo and behold, no anxiety. Plus it's not addictive at all. :D

Conquering it by yourself is a respectable method of handling anxiety, but getting on meds is a pretty legit method too.
