Snarz 11-17-2006 03:07 PM

Berk 11-17-2006 03:07 PM
Berk do you play open handed?
maniac0796 11-17-2006 03:11 PM

Repetitive strain injury

You'll also love Carpel tunnel syndrome

Sunshine 11-17-2006 03:12 PM

Wow, my parents suck.
"Yeah, your hand is probably broken in a few places, but its not like they can do anything about it anyway, so just let it rest a few days and you'll be just fine."
The FUCK?
It's not like costs them money or anything...free military healthcare, anyone?
And they wouldn't even have to go to the clinic WITH me.
I should just go myself..
But of course I won't.
But I should.
Freaking parents.
God my hand hurts.

TTTSNB 11-17-2006 03:17 PM

What the hell? Broken bones need to be fixed right away. Just go anyway.

Janeway 11-17-2006 03:31 PM

Dammit. I was going to touch myself, but my ****ing sister came home five minutes after I did. =/

Gah. I was looking forward to it all day.

Drum Phil 11-17-2006 03:33 PM
Wow, talk about a delayed response  OK, let me rephrase: Why put the cowbell and hihats on separate feet? Like, what kinda stuff requires playing cowbell and hihats at the same time, while still leaving the hands open (which implies you're not using the bass at all)?
Ive been away all week.

I like to play without a bass. Its interesting IMO. I was teaching myself left foot independance, hence the hats on my right foot.

 You could always go to a different room. Unless you're a total screamer and you're heard throughout the house.

Janeway 11-17-2006 03:37 PM

Edit: That was akward.

I wanted to watch porno while doing it, anyways.

I love this movement. =/
What the hell? Broken bones need to be fixed right away. Just go anyway.
Can't.

On base is a clinic, not an actual hospital.

No ER or nothin'.

You have to have an appointment and it's not open on the weekends.

So I'd have to wait 'til next week.

'Cause I can't go to the offbase hospital by myself, and it'd cost a whole bunch of money and crap.

But there's speculation.

Some people say if it was REALLY broken it'd hurt a whole lot more and I wouldn't be able to move my hand so much and it'd be waaay more swollen and crap.

But if I did break something, it's just one little tiny bone in the middle. So like. I can still move, it just doesn't FEEL right. And it still hurts like hell. But apparently it isn't swollen enough or some crap like that =/

Loser 11-17-2006 04:10 PM

Buy an x ray machine off ebay and self-diagnose.

maniac0796 11-17-2006 04:15 PM

"You must spread some reputation around before giving it to Loser again!"

God damn it children in need pisses me off!
They got rid of "have i got new for you" so we can watch some fat ****ing celebratys "raise money" for some elusive children that probably won't appreciate it.

Sunshine 11-17-2006 04:24 PM

Haha.

Yeah.

Oh well.

If my hand gets fucked up, I'm not forgiving my dad for a really, really long time.

Janeway 11-17-2006 04:25 PM

You're the one that punched a piece of metal...

Chippy569 11-17-2006 04:26 PM

you could cut it off and slap him with it.

Loser 11-17-2006 04:26 PM

My brother once punched a wall and broke his hand. I laughed. What was he going to do about it -- punch me?

maniac0796 11-17-2006 04:32 PM

My sister tried to kick me once and fell over and broke her arm on a christmas tree. I laughed!
You're the one that punched a piece of metal...
Except for the part about me not doing it on purpose.

Janeway 11-17-2006 04:49 PM

I have a concert on monday. We're playing When I'm Sixty Four.

http://www.dws.org/tsq/ra/06wheni64.ram
That's the arrangement. Only the soprano part is transposed to alto, and we play it a tiny bit slower. It's a fantastic arrangement, but unfortunately only I and, suprisingly enough, the tenor know our parts.
The second alto basically knows his, and I'm sure he'll have it all down by Monday, but the bari is going to fuck us in the end. She's got these big honking triplets that absolutely make the song, and she plays them so fucking soft it's not even funny.

And at the end, the big stripper ending, she can't do the run from low C up to D. It's not even a run, it's just a rip up. It's easy, but she doesn't do it.

One of the kids I knew in junior high's twin brother punched him in the skull and broke a few bones in his hand.

maniac0796 11-17-2006 05:20 PM

I'm so ****ing bored. And i'm hungry aswell.

Loser 11-17-2006 05:25 PM

Speed would make you not bored and not hungry.

Win A Rabbit 11-17-2006 05:28 PM

Speaking of speed, we're having some 17-year old ex-addicts come in tonight to give a talk. Should be interesting. Plus I get paid.

That's super tough. For me atleast.

Sunshine 11-17-2006 05:32 PM

My instructor gave me something similar to that.

Not quite as diverse as far as notes go, but yeah.

Chippy569 11-17-2006 05:44 PM

i just sight-read it.

the changing time sigs get confusing tho so it's best to just ignore them and play straight through. :P

Corkofski 11-17-2006 05:46 PM

Don't exist.

Sync0pation 11-17-2006 05:58 PM

Why not?

Jred250 11-17-2006 06:02 PM

The main problem I found with playing it was the changing signatures. I found it easier to ignore them.

Loser 11-17-2006 06:06 PM
Why not?
The phrase "once an addict, always an addict."

Phrases are never wrong.

How about the phrase "women cant think for themselves"

That was proven wrong.

I command everyone to go check out my post in the Gear and Media Corner about MY RECENT PURCHASE!
