 I take it your hair's black, straight, and swooshed?

You emo fag.

Berk 11-16-2006 11:30 PM

Actually, I havn't yet died it. I don't think I will, But it is "Swooshed" And straigt.

I don't care if you call me emo, But please not fag.

Win A Rabbit 11-16-2006 11:35 PM

My bad. I normally wouldn't call you a fag for your haircut (actually I don't call anyone a fag in real life, only over teh internet) but I figured I'd use your "prediction" against you.

Two of my friends have that same haircut (their's is dyed though). I think it's kinda silly, but I'm not going to judge them based on their haircut.

Hell, I'm in no place to judge people based on hair.

Berk 11-16-2006 11:42 PM

Meh, Its the internet. What are you gonna do?
The only person who has predictions of me is Zildjian(Bleh).

It's not me, But would you think that's "silly"?

Chippy569 11-16-2006 11:47 PM

what i'm about to say might strike some as racist but by all means i mean no offence.

ok, so i go to a "Wealthy" high school. meaning prodominantly white, single-child kids. Anyway, the cliques in my school are huge... the goths the stoners the jocks the emos... it's really bad and childish. I don't have any problems with people "looking a certian way to fit in" just as long as one day they realize it and grow out of it.
the girl pants element of "emo" though, i still don't see the point.
Anyway, there's one kid in my school's "emo" circle, his name is Raj. He's Pakistani. He wears the same black/gray horizontal striped shirt and darkwashed girljeans 4 days out of the 5.
Now Pakistani people, as far as i know, tend to have slightly curly slightly straight naturally black hair.
So Raj's "emo" hair is like a natural do for him.
But man, he just looks soooooo.... awkwardly out of place in those girl jeans.
the dark skin and absence of black dye residue has something to do with it, i think, but i'm not sure......

Kinda like..... i've never met someone who was both black and strongly "goth"...

and this concludes my observation on cliques.

Aaron 11-16-2006 11:50 PM

In conclusion, only stupid spoilt white kids get into emo in most instances.

Berk 11-16-2006 11:50 PM

Lol Goth.

Whenever One of my teacher makes a comment about people dying their hair black, Some ****head kid is like "There Goth!".
Pussy's.

Aaron 11-16-2006 11:53 PM

Haha it's pretty true.

Berk 11-16-2006 11:55 PM

IT'S ANNOYING.

Especially when the douches are like a mix between, Gangsta and "Try to fit" emo.
So the first thing they say is "GOTH WTF".

Electric Requiem 11-16-2006 11:55 PM

Im my province there was this weird case a little while back where this 23 y/o goth guy and his 14 y/o goth gf killed her entire family. As soon as my friends parents got the newspaper that morning they woke him up and talked to him about being goth and making sure he didnt have a hideously young girlfriend. He wears no makeup or anything, was on the football team, and the only reason they thought he was goth was because he listens to metal. By the way theyre mormons.

Aaron 11-16-2006 11:57 PM

Mormons ftw in the ignorant stakes!

Berk 11-16-2006 11:58 PM

I'mma search Goth on Wikipedia.

Goths are stereotyped as being Satanists due to their very dark style. However this is wrong. The goth subculture contains a great diversity of religious and secularist beliefs. Many goths seek to free themselves from what they perceive as the limitations of traditional systems of religious belief, and express a belief in secularism, or New Age approaches to spirituality. A large number of goths adhere to atheism or agnosticism. An interest in Wicca, Neopaganism, spiritualism and the occult among goths appears to be greater than among the general population. However, many goths also follow world religions such as Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Taoism and Buddhism.

Eh?

Win A Rabbit 11-16-2006 11:59 PM

 I have a mormon friend (acquaintance, slowly hanging out with him more though) who listens to all sorts of "rebellious music", aka anything heavier than Bob Dylan.

He labels all his burned cd's as being by some country singer, etc, and keeps all his actual cd's hidden in his room. Always makes me laugh.

If you mean "do I think the cocks drawn in look silly, then yes.

Lets stop being angry and talk about my trip to Drummers World next week :)

Aaron 11-17-2006 12:01 AM

I used to be a blues playing, bible-loving goth in my younger days. Now I'm just unsure of all but the sultry tones of blues a'callin me down the highway to freedom.

My friend was gonna quit going to church and his family said they wouldnt pay for any of his education or anything if he did. So he didnt. They make me laugh.

I love Radiohead...

Chippy569 11-17-2006 12:11 AM

i went goth back in jr. high but not for the "Social Circle" (because god knows i don't have any RL friends)

i suffered from depression and an abnormal perfectionism which was in part fuelled from the care and attention my sister needed when i was younger (she's blind and autistic and needs my parents' attention 24/7) so i grew up fast. really fast. like most males start getting to the acne/puberty thing in 7th-8th grade? i had acne in 3rd... i was 5'9 in 6th grade...
Anyway, i never really belonged with my peers because mentally i wasn't with them anymore. However beacuse of the way the school system here is setup i wasn't allowed to communicate with people on the same level of growth as myself. So i was stuck and depressed.
Somewhere in jr. high i realized that i'm a unique individual. There are no other David Conrad Nichols's out there. Not many people have dealt with the conflicts i have internally and externally. I started getting really into my church with volunteering a lot and spending a lot of time with service projects both through school and through church.
At sometime around 8th grade i think, i wanted to change the world's mind. I wanted to make people think twice and wonder what was going on. I dyed my hair red. I wore eyeliner and black nailpolish and baggy clothes. Why? because i wanted to appear the opposite of who i was. when i was at my service projects people would ask me "why do you dress that way?" and i would smile and say "when you first saw me did you think i was here to help you and protect you?" and they'd all say "not at all" so i could smile again and say "that's why you can't judge people on appearances alone."

here, i found pics.

one of my inspirations was this website... gosh i don't know if it's still there or not... http://www.christiangoth.com

anyway. I've lost the dark clothes and makeup out of laziness and i now shop for shirts on ebay and pants at american eagle (no one else sells 32x31)

but yeah... just because someone dresses one way doesn't automatically mean they are who they appear.

All I can say is fawk goths. I dont care if you have a story behind it or not... They piss me off.

Chippy569 11-17-2006 12:21 AM

see, insensitivity and immaturity like that are what make this world a shameful place to live.

I stepped out on a limb and opened up a part of my history so that maybe, just maybe you would stop and think. I even put the lesson in simple writing; "you can't judge people by what they look like." and you completely brushed it aside, telling me to fawk off and indirectly saying that my opinions and my feelings don't matter.

because of your closed-mindedness and xenophobia and lack of empathy or acceptance of diversity, you're going to have a hard life in the future.

Unfortunately, most stereotypes are based solidly in fact. There are more weirdo psychopathic goth kids because its generally the people who have had really messed up lives that gravitate towards that specific sub-culture. I dont hold a strong prejudice towards people because I have met cool people from all of the different cliques, be it goth, emo, or whatever.

Futuro 11-17-2006 12:41 AM

My highschool was great.

Being the only rich white kid in my highschool I hung out with all the Really tall black people (IE. Basketball players). The spanish people were all dirty convicts. And the teachers were poor white democrats driving around in there Luminas. There was the chinese emo kid, he kept trying to slit his wrist but his depth perception is off because of chinky eyes, it just looked like he was stabbing the air.

Aaron 11-17-2006 12:43 AM

Chippy569 11-17-2006 12:43 AM

Futuro 11-17-2006 12:45 AM

Electric Requiem 11-17-2006 02:30 AM

I think the snare and rug could use some jingle.
