I don't have a 2nd e-mail address and I'm too lazy to create one so I don't have free Rapidshare. Anyone want to send me their username and password?
|
I'd like to spend a day with Brian Jones, or a weekend. I'd probably end up hanging with Jimi, George Harrison, and Nico at any time during the day. Plus I might have the chance to chase Bob Dylan down with Keef' in my car. Oh the possiblities.
I just got a pretty sweet Bootleg of the Velvet Underground. Three discs, 90 minutes of Sister Ray alone (three different versions on each disc.) each disc about 78 minutes long. Schweeet. |
Do you actually own any albums... I mean downloading a few every so often but downloading entire discographys...? That is rediculous, and almost every post by you is talking about some new blog where you can download 100000 albums in a matter of seconds.
i actually own a lot of albums, i can only buy albums from time to time as im always short on cash, and honestly, i could care less if its downloaded or not, music is music. and lately i havent been able to buy many albums. and actually the blogs i posted are all for rare stuff that you cant buy in stores with the exception of one (dancingmokey) and i only posted about 3-4 different times with blogs (just a lot at one post:p ) and i should mention im not actually downloading every rush album, just the ones i dont have, i hav about 7 bought ones, i should have made that clear, i worded that wrong. |
Well its now clear that when I assume I make an ass out of me and you!
I had to say that. And that was my mini-rant of the month. What'll it be next time? I can only wonder. |
hey, you made a good point, and your right, i have no morals.

Guitar Hero is such a great game. It's got a ton of great CR tubes, and it's fun as hell. I wish I could find my PS2 memory card, I've had to start over everytime I started playing again :(
I've been really addicted to 2112, I'm gonna but another album of theirs, probably another of their 70's proggy albums. Don't Fear The Jaccer (cowbell) |
I'm downloading some Curtis Mayfield right now. I like, I like.
|
I'm listening to the Minutemen again for the first time in a while and I'd forgotten why they were one of my favorite bands. D. Boon is such a great lyricist and songwriter. And they're all pretty great at their instruments. Maybe I'll do an FA on them, too.
|
DNOTD is such an amazing album.
|
Nice avatar. Maybe next time you won't ask for one. Haha.
And yeah, that's a classic album. |
My avatar is the greatest thing ever :-D
|
woah, how'd you get that avatar sluggy?
I've never really heard anything by the minutemen. they sound great though; it'd be cool if someone could send out one of there albums that's not DNOTD. |
Nice avatar there Slug.
np: Tea Leaf Green with Trey Anastacio- Freedom Awesome jam. I'm seeing Tea Leaf Green tomorrow. It's going to be awesome. |
I have one of Tea Leaf's bootlegs, it's pretty good stuff. They were opening for Gov't Mule for their fall/winter tour.
Yeah Mintuemen are awesome. Favourite song by them: Viet Nam |
My dad and I might go see the Derek Trucks band.
|
who is that, may I ask (the avatar)
|
Whoever she is, she's like a 5 at best :-\
|
Freud, if you did a Minutemen FA, that'd kick booty. I made a thread about them around September and it reached like six pages
Geez, who did you have to suck off to get that, Slug? I feel like I'm not posting here a lot lately, because there's not a lot for me to say. I try to only jump in when I have something to contribute. Hmmm... np: Kool & The Gang - Jungle Boogie |
Slug, try putting an actual hot girl in there...?
|
I totally think my avatar is the hotter of the two girls.
|
I don't think the guy in your avatar would last 15 minutes in jail before he got passed around for cigarettes.
|
Slug, try putting an actual hot girl in there...?
I agree. Speaking of me wanting to contribute more, does anyone listen to Mott The Hoople? Great '70s glam rock band I've been into lately, I made a thread on them a while ago but it failed :( |
I don't get it. What's with Slug's avatar?
And you're lucky for getting to see Derek Trucks. He's not really touring around here at all. |
I don't get it. What's with Slug's avatar?
He changed it I think. /looks at postcount semi- |
omg Mister Blue Sky! your postcount was teh 6666! zomg satan
I don't get it. What's with Slug's avatar?
For about two or three minutes, he had a huge avatar of this skanky looking girl. |
For about two or three minutes, he had a huge avatar of this skanky looking girl.
Excellent. At the time of those posts, I was watching the Daily Show. Did anyone catch him talking with Neil Young? |
I agree.

And I didn't catch Slugs avatar. |

Yeah I love what Colbare (i can't spell his name) said before his show came on "Neil tell Crosby and Nash I said hi, but screw you Stills" or something like that |
Is it just me...or is Take Your Clothes When You Dance Off from We're Only In It For The Money by Frank Zappa like thee most awesome hippy song ever?
|
Is that the one where it's like "...and I'm really really stoned."
|
No that is,"Who Needs the Peace Corps?"
|
Well, it's better than being in the gray area of downloading music. I'm honestly tired of this idea that pervades everyone's minds that downloading some music isn't bad. The person who made thar music still isn't getting paid for it, it's still stealing. I think you have to be either completely against and therefore stop downloading any (copyrighted) music for free, or agree with it and download however much you feel like. I'll admit there are exceptions, like really rare music you can't find anywhere else, but I'm tired of hearing from my friends (Well, I only download three or four songs a week, so it's not that bad." I'm personally morally against it, but financially for it, and of course the almighty dollar always wins
I will admit that that is a bit excessive from any perspective, WttM.
Yeah, I should buy all my music so Jimi Hendrix can make some money and release another album. |
Yeah, I should buy all my music so Jimi Hendrix can make some money and release another album.
Maybe you should sell some comedy books too. Cause you're funny. ;) Is WOITFTM like Freak Out? I've never heard that one. NP: Robert Randolph - I Need More Love |
They played Jimi Hendrix: Band of Gypsies on IFC the other night. I taped it and watched some it yesterday; I liked it.
|

lolzors  Way to make a completely irrelevant response. So yeah, Guitar Hero. It has so many good CR songs, like More Than A Feeling, Texas Flood, and Crossroads. Crossroads was really hard for me, the rythym was really strange, but I got it down pat and perfected it as best I could. Well, I'm goin' down to Wilmington (NC) today for the weekend to see my fajah, and there is a pretty cool music store down there called the Music Loft. Hopefully I'll be able to go and hit on some drums so I can decide what set I want, but I always hate doing that in music stores because I feel like an idiot that has no idea what I'm doing (which I am). |
You're buying some drums? Are you just learning?
Bus, it's like, a satire on hippies. In musical content it's kind of similar to Freak Out! in that it's not like his fusion stuff or orchestral and more humor. |
Is it just me...or is Take Your Clothes When You Dance Off from We're Only In It For The Money by Frank Zappa like thee most awesome hippy song ever?
Zappa didn't do drugs? He hated hippies. I have the Band of Gypsys DVD with extras. zomg Guitar Hero is a good game, I rather play a real guitar though. Symphony of Destruction and Texas Flood are fun. |
Bought me 2 rory gallagher vinyls today.
Tattoo and Against the Grain. Amazing stuff they are. On a side note, me and my girlfriend broke up and I feel like sh*t. |

I think I'm the only Gallagher fan here:angry: Tattoo is good, but Tattoo'd Lady, Cradle Rock and A Million Miles Away are better on Irish Tour. :) I don't have Against the Grain. I recommend Defender if you have a chance. |
I don't have Against the Grain. I recommend Defender if you have a chance.
The only other one they had was Irish Tour, and I didn't have the 25$ to buy it. |
