Ha, our metal scene is pretty good, although we're basically the non-metalcore band...Surdin (good friends of ours) are more of a progressive band; they're starting to sound like a cross between Chimaira/old Killswitch and Dream Theater. Gathered Here Today's just straight up metalcore, but they're pretty good. Those are the two bands we usually play shows with because that's all that's out here....besides going to St. Louis.

Man, I don't know what's wrong but my computer at home won't let me get on the internet. I don't know what brought that up, but I tried logging on when I got home from work last night and the internet explorer wouldn't load up...my broadband was connected and workign fine and everything, just my internet was down I guess...:(

but i can tell you from just sitting at lunch with like 6 of em, i cant stand their fukking conversations. Of course not all do this, but when you put girls with other girls, their topics of discussion are repulsive.

Here's what you do when they talk (if you want to be a prick and not listen, because that ruins it): Nod your head and say "yeah" every so often, and while they are talking, listen to music in your head. Think about something other than them talking. Losing track of the conversation will make you a very happy, accomplished man. :lol:

The worst thing is when they talk to you when you're watching TV. Then they'll talk and talk and talk and then ask "Don't you think so?"

aoS never expected to get a lot of good reviews,big sales and a dedicated fanbase, bacause they thought the music was too unique and a bit hard to grasp and appreciate for people.
but it turned out the other way, they gained a lot of recognisition(sp?)
So I guess this allowed them to make an ep, as well as the oncoming full lenghth.

and I can't see why thier label wouldn't supportt this idea, because everyone in this group is incredibly talented.
so even if sales aren't that high, the label can be certain that the music is good (qualitywise) and The End is a label that values music above commercial values, so yeah :)

it's great to see, that I'm no longer being the only fanboy of AoS! :thumb:
