It's by far their fastest, heaviest album ever, consistently ripping through at 120 mph, and relies, like [i]The Black Waltz[/i] did, almost entirely on low-end growls. The keyboard influence is back with more prominence than it was on [i]For the Revolution[/i], and is in some places backed by additional instrumentation, such as the live trumpet intro on "Rust Never Sleeps".

Personally, I think it's brilliant. This album kicks my *** clear down a long, dark stairwell. But if you just feel that Kalmah's other albums are "more of the same," then you might not be blown away. I take the stance that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I hate bands being pressured to change a winning formula, only to hear their fans piss and moan when something is [i]too different[/i] on their next album. But that's just me.
