I have 554 I don't know how much it goes up by each time. I assume it's different depending on if you are getting rep from somones with a lot of rep or someone with little rep.

Only an admin can tweak rep that way. So an admin took away all my rep for no reason.

Yeah, I don't think the rep system has much to do with your posting quality as it does with how much the admins like you. I've seen you post tons of helpful things.
