Honestly I don't understand it either.

BMF is pretty boring, NSV is obviously their best, but Whisper Supremacy and And Then You'll Beg kick a lot of *** as well. Except for DiSalvo of course. Well, he's barely tolerable on Whisper, but he's absolutely awful on And Then You'll Beg. Music is still great though.

Blasphemy Made Flesh is NOT boring.

Its not groundbreaking but it fits the music and doesnt make the album any less enjoyable.

TSS is pretty good...I dont much like the vocals but everything else I like.

So I also stumbled across Divine Heresy, I know they arent technically death metal (or that great for that matter) but the song Bleed the Fifth caught me by suprise

I think Isahn's gotten even better now. He understands a lot more about doing vocals, it's reflected really well in his cleans.
