 :thumb: firstly its not the quantity its the quality of posts secondly go to the 1st page and check out the dark angel - darkness descends samplers and tell us what you think

CrAzYmEtaLLiCaFaN 09-01-2004 10:14 AM

mmm i did that, and it was ok. the beginning was a bit obvious with the build up, but the rest was typical thrash, quite catchy i thought.
also checked out the death is certain sample, that was a bit better as it was faster, but the voice wasnt too good and towards the end it got a bit messy.

DimebagDarrell 09-01-2004 10:23 AM

well im glad you at least gave them a listen :)

Bartender 09-02-2004 02:01 PM

Yes.

CrAzYmEtaLLiCaFaN 09-02-2004 02:05 PM

well in theory maybe, but no one ever sticks to the point

Stoic 09-02-2004 02:23 PM

Hello! I'm not a big fan of thrash so I'm not familiar with the underground. Just out of curiousity and because many people claim that thrash is dead, could you name any new (90s, 00s) thrash groups (even demo groups)? Not "neo thrash" like the haunted please.

Bartender 09-02-2004 02:31 PM

I'm not much into thrash either, but for easy access to lesser known bands, I believe you can download a few full albums by Heathen on www.heathenmetal.com. And there's a full album by Torture Squad, which is pretty good, on www.mit.edu/~levente/mp3s/. Other than that, all I really like so far is Kreator and what I've heard of Coroner.

Just to tide you over til the real thrash fans get here.

Stoic 09-02-2004 02:43 PM

full albums, yay, sounds interesting now that I got rid of that virus! Thanks a lot! Ironically, I was about to mention Kreator and Coroner being my personal preferences! However, my all time favourite thrash (from the little experience I have) is *SADUS*. Kreator ala pleasure to kill and sadus seem to be more agressive and death-ish than the average thrash group though. Also coroner and sadus are technical which is another pro. I think this is why I like these three groups.

Bartender 09-02-2004 03:01 PM

I forgot Sadus :( I had Illusions downloaded at one point, but it got deleted along with a bunch of other music a while back. It was good though.

maybe its because John Bush would need to have his nuts stepped on to hit the high notes needed in the song :upset:
