uughughughghu something keeps secretly opening internet explorer without it actually popping up and it just plays ****ing advertisements and i cant figure out what it is. been scannin my **** for like an hour and a half now and cant find anything uhgughughughguhgughughgu.

i dont even use it i use firefox but ive got some spyware i guess or something. and every 10 minutes or so ill just start hearing some funk rock and be like wtf. and then i hear some guys going around asking people on the streets questions and ****. and its like an advertisement. but theres no internet explorer pop up or anything, theres just the audio coming from somewhere, hidden. the only way to get rid of it is to go to task manager and end the iexplorer process. but then it comes back. again and again and again.

ok it just got serious. this spyware is getting smarter. i google 'how to get rid of internet explorer' and it tells me upon clicking on results that they are all "reported attack sites", to try and deter me from finding answers. and then when i ignore this "warning" it redirects me a search for "antivirus programs". omfg so pissed.

lol anthony my comp is doing the same thing, i think i got it from pirate bay - it's just standard malware ****. It won't let me run virus scans though, and a lot of the time my comp will jut randomly freeze... it's getting better, but I'm still having it looked at.

i deleted everything in the ie folder except for the iexplore.exe. it wont let me delete that. yeah i know its not a serious virus or anything but ********KCUF its annoying. hasnt done it in like 20 minutes though so its at least giving me a break to watch wicker man.

yeah isohunt and tpb. but ive been going to them for years and have never gotten anything from them before. and i havent even downloaded a torrent in like 2 days. i only download movies and games from the popular rippers and groups and stuff.

like what happened was the microsoft security center shield popped up in my toolbar and said it detected something. and i have all that microsoft **** turned off so i was like wtf and clicked on it. then the actual microsoft security center popped up and was like "malware protection on" and i was all wtf no i dont want that so i clicked on turn off and then nothing happened and my actual antivirus stuff started going crazy about something called mdefense.exe that apparently can disguise itself inside of microsoft security. so i scanned comp and got rid of it and everything looked like it was cool and now im getting this and scans arent showing anything else.

My AVG virus scans won't work, after I run the scans they just freeze up. I don't know if it happens to you, but if I search for anything on google and click the results, it directs me to a random search site. If it doesn't do that for you consider yourself lucky.

Tpb is always legit from my experience. Other torrent sites I can't say the same about.


I always check the comments on the torrents though, because usually they will say if it's defective or has a trojan and not to waste your time.

yeah thats exactly what it was doing. no my scans are working fine its just not showing anything anymore after i got rid of that mdefense ****. idk though my google searches are working again and its been like half an hour since ive heard an ad so maybe its gone now. i hope at least.

Yeah dude, it will come and go. I just stopped using google search for a few days and it kind of fixed itself. I still get the ads playing in the background once in a while, but my searching is fixed and so is the freezing problem.

I'd just keep running scans and give it a few days.
