Is this the Red Paintings EP you're talking about? I thought it was pretty boring except for the first song which is awesome.
Thats fair enough, theres bound to be people who don't like it.

EDIT: Holy crap @ me! I have stars.

Congrats, well-deserved for your work around here and for getting me into The Red Paintings, but shhh.

Speaking of The Red Paintings (wait, who said that?), I can't find their lyrics anywhere after a quick ten-second browse of Google. Any idea where I can find them, G_Money?
Unearth has some elements of melodic death metal... they're called the songs Stronghold and Zombie Autopilot.. and they're only noticeable for small segments of certain riffs.
Don't try and justify the blatant gimmick, man.
I'm not knocking Underoath perticularly, just look at his other posts!

NP-Deep Purple- child in time(will vote Gillian unless he's against Matt Barlow, JLB or ZP theart)

maybe others..but his vocals on this are astounding.

That's the one. So Far I like the second song better than the first one. The only element that I'm unsure on is some of the vocals. But I really like it so far.

Sorry man, but they really are a pretty unknown band at the moment. Things will hopefully change soon. I have a half of Walls written out, which I might finish after I finish exams.

Perhaps try searching the forums on their website. http://www.theredpaintings.com

Congrats Greg. Well deserved. Your good post density > mine. :p

For any of you guys who asked for the garm uploads, you should have it now.

I was just screwing around Ollie... and I said Unearth, not Underoath... Underoath's first two albums were Melodic Death Metal .
Wow, The Streets Fell Into My Window owns hard. I'm loving this.
Excellent. I love the whole Alice In Wonderland aspect of that song.
NP-SOAD-Lost in Hollywood
Good song. One of my current favourites.

Dr. Jake Destructo 11-14-2005 07:39 PM

I would like a dial up friendly link in my mailbox in that case. :)

Do you still have to pay for downloading things? That really kind of blows. :-/

dUSK 11-14-2005 07:42 PM

Yeah, unfortunately. It's a total rip. I move out of college on Saturday though, so I'll have access to a slightly slower, but more reasonable connection within the next couple of weeks.

Exactly! The lyrics and concept of that song I find so intriguing. Not to mention the off-the-wall sound of some of the parts! Great stuff.

And the third song also rules.

Wait, they're unknown but have released albums before? Or am I thinking of someone else/I misread that somewhere?
Wait, they're unknown but have released albums before? Or am I thinking of someone else/I misread that somewhere?
Walls is their sixth release, but prior to that they didn't attract much attention at all. The have only release one 'album', which only features half of the band (see tomorrow daily upload). Locally they were doing ok, but elsewhere they never really made an impact.

The fact that their official forum has only 325 members is a small indication of their popularity.

Maybe I'll make a little write-up on them, as the thread I made some months ago sunk like....uh... well. It died fast and had zero replies. :D

Yeah, we do an "Expanding your tastes" thread about weekly in there.

SO far I've done Nile, Naglfar and Project 86. :)

That'd be cool, you should do it.

That's cool. Post me a link when you do it, and I'll tear that place up! \m/ :p

I will. I was going to do Carcass, bit I thought I might as well stick to what I know best. I've become a huge fan of CoB over the past years and seeing them live a couple days ago has sent me into a massive fix on them.
