Is this the Red Paintings EP you're talking about? I thought it was pretty boring except for the first song which is awesome.
Thats fair enough, theres bound to be people who don't like it. EDIT: Holy crap @ me! I have stars. /wears them proudly. :D |

EDIT: Holy crap @ me! I have stars. /wears them proudly. :D
Congrats, well-deserved for your work around here and for getting me into The Red Paintings, but shhh. Speaking of The Red Paintings (wait, who said that?), I can't find their lyrics anywhere after a quick ten-second browse of Google. Any idea where I can find them, G_Money? |
Unearth has some elements of melodic death metal... they're called the songs Stronghold and Zombie Autopilot.. and they're only noticeable for small segments of certain riffs.
Don't try and justify the blatant gimmick, man. I'm not knocking Underoath perticularly, just look at his other posts! NP-Deep Purple- child in time(will vote Gillian unless he's against Matt Barlow, JLB or ZP theart) maybe others..but his vocals on this are astounding. |

Has it been long since the last sandwich joke? NP: Big Star - Thirteen
What do vampires make sandwiches out of? Self-raising dead. /first Googled sandwich jokes. It's terrible. NP: The Red Paintings (still) |
Is this the Red Paintings EP you're talking about? I thought it was pretty boring except for the first song which is awesome.
That's the one. So Far I like the second song better than the first one. The only element that I'm unsure on is some of the vocals. But I really like it so far. |

Sorry man, but they really are a pretty unknown band at the moment. Things will hopefully change soon. I have a half of Walls written out, which I might finish after I finish exams. Perhaps try searching the forums on their website. http://www.theredpaintings.com |

Wow, The Streets Fell Into My Window owns hard. I'm loving this.

Congrats Greg. Well deserved. Your good post density > mine. :p
For any of you guys who asked for the garm uploads, you should have it now. From what I've heard by the Red Paintings I have liked. (one song) :upset: |

Underoath's first two albums were Melodic Death Metal . |
Congrats Greg.
Thanks. :)
Well deserved. I love the whole Alice In Wonderland aspect of that song.
NP-SOAD-Lost in Hollywood
Good song. One of my current favourites. |
I would like a dial up friendly link in my mailbox in that case. :)
Do you still have to pay for downloading things? That really kind of blows. :-/ |
Yeah, unfortunately. It's a total rip. I move out of college on Saturday though, so I'll have access to a slightly slower, but more reasonable connection within the next couple of weeks.
Excellent. I love the whole Alice In Wonderland aspect of that song.
Exactly! The lyrics and concept of that song I find so intriguing. Not to mention the off-the-wall sound of some of the parts! Great stuff. And the third song also rules. |
I have to suggest that you use soulseek... https://www.slsknet.com
NP: Symphony X - Incantations of the Apprentice |
I sent you The Red Paintings link.
/hopes it lives up to current hype |
I sent the Red Paintings album to a couple of my friends and my brother. So far they're really liking it.
Wait, they're unknown but have released albums before? Or am I thinking of someone else/I misread that somewhere?
Walls is their sixth release, but prior to that they didn't attract much attention at all. The have only release one 'album', which only features half of the band (see tomorrow daily upload). Locally they were doing ok, but elsewhere they never really made an impact. The fact that their official forum has only 325 members is a small indication of their popularity. |
The2stranger, I have a better banana avatar on my comp. He does the whole dance.

I just realized, I'm a Children of Bodom fanboy.
NP: We're Not Gonna Fall :( |
I'm developing a taste for Dark Lunacy... that's strange lol.
Maybe I'll make a little write-up on them, as the thread I made some months ago sunk like....uh... well. It died fast and had zero replies. :D |
That album is freaking awesome isn't it? I heart their cover of Mad World.
Thats my NP Im too lazy to make an Avant Garde Metal thread tonight. Maybe tomorrow. |
I just realized, I'm a Children of Bodom fanboy.
I'm gonna make a thread on them in Pop-Punk soon, you better post :p
A Children of Bodom thread in pop-punk? I'll definitely be there. I may be contacting Med about doing an FA on them too. |
A Children of Bodom thread in pop-punk?
I'll definitely be there. I may be contacting Med about doing an FA on them too.
Yeah, we do an "Expanding your tastes" thread about weekly in there. SO far I've done Nile, Naglfar and Project 86. :) That'd be cool, you should do it. |

I was going to do Carcass, bit I thought I might as well stick to what I know best. I've become a huge fan of CoB over the past years and seeing them live a couple days ago has sent me into a massive fix on them. |
