OK, bassically the heavier/denser a wood is the more the high's will be emphasized.

Shoes, if you want a dark tone and a heavy bass I'd suggest Mahogany as your best bet. Listen to a Thunderbird, as it's a mahogany neck through with a mahogany body, it has a dee, dark tone.

Yea your right mahogony does have a seriously dark tone but I have done that before. I want to make a bass that has a tone exceptionly dark and different from anything else
