Europe has a thing for crappy music.
|
I like their singles, haven't really listened to much else though by them.
|
No you guys, Muse is good. You must be thinking of someone else.
|
Well I'm doing myspace surveys to procrastinate from school work atm. Go me.
|
I'm thinking of modest mouse, actually.
|
I agree with Vince being modded. Only one real deserving.
Hey Jom!!
Hey, dude! How's life been treating you?
Because the quality of the newest wave of posters drops each cycle. Now, I can't explain why this is true, but it is. I think the vets here are also becoming much less friendly for whatever reason which is a sad trend to me. There's a lot of elitism going around that is far from even deserved. Some of the oldest users here like Seth and Jared are still cool as hell and not all that elitist. Meanwhile newer users are kinda acting like dicks. *shrug*
Oh, yeah, I see. Same thing with the reviews site when some of those kids found the forums and started fagging them up.
Really, when you look at the other genre forums, they're not all that different from this one. They're all based around the community thread and thats about it. The only difference is they have more users and have a broader range of topics to cover. The pop-punk forum is confined to one, relatively small genre of music.
Yeah, that makes sense. |
They're not too bad. I have a hard time getting into them really.
|
delete the pop punk forum
|
omfg JOM!!!
|
Nooooooooo, definitely not that.
EDIT: hey, hey. How's life? |
No you guys, Muse is good. You must be thinking of someone else.
Nope.
I'm thinking of modest mouse, actually.
Modest Mouse is good brohaus =\ Hi Jom...long time no see *shifty* |
Hi Jom...long time no see *shifty*
Hahaha. I'm on break this week, so that's exciting times. How's school going for you? |
EDIT: hey, hey. How's life?
Meh. Kinda boring actually, but it always is, so I guess you could say the usual. This is the first day I've posted more than 3 times in Pop-Punk. :amaze: oshi I almost forgot what the code was for "amaze". :( |
omfg I'm going to quit engineering I swear to god =\
Nah I only have like 4 classes left till I graduate so I might as well stick with it. Alas, so far I'm still like 5 credits short of staying full time next semester so I need to get on that. But then I still have a year for my masters after that so MEH. You? |
Man, I only have like a year before college.
I'm scared. :( |
Haha, I only have a little over a year to go of my undergrad at least. Time flies =\

He finished his major/minor stuff, but he didn't have enough credits to graduate (he was just short by a semester-ish) so he's taking classes like Women & Gender Studies, Gymnastics & Tumbling (he's proud to be the only dude in that class), Tai Chi (there are only two dudes in that class), Pilates (again, two dudes), etc. The funny thing is that he's had the same girl for years and there's no doubt in my mind that they're going to be engaged soon but man, what a last semester of school to have  As for me, school's very time-consuming. It's not hard, just loads of busywork, which is lamesauce to the max. It's like doing those pathetic worksheets in high school when teachers didn't have anything better for you to do, and your time was being wasted doing them... well, it's basically that this semester, times university. But overall not too shabby yet. |

Seriously. I was a freshman yesterday. What the hell happened? I'm looking at med right now. Gonna be a fun 8+ years....
As for me, school's very time-consuming. I feel cool that I basically finished my engineering degree in like 3 years though  My semester is kinda the opposite of yours. I don't have to do much for like 2 weeks, then all of a sudden I have like 4 hw assignments and 2 labs due all in one week. My teachers are all pretty lax about due dates though which is nice. The downside of this semester is I have 2 tests this week and I feel way unprepared for both of them having like...2 homeworks all sem in the classes. |
so yeah, sleep is fun
which is where i'm off to so hasta luego probably not for a few weeks if I don't get busy/lazy  |
Can anyone in here make .gif images from YouTube videos and resize them?
I need like a 5 second clip from a YouTube movie as my avatar. Any takers? IM me plz. |
Man Im still in high school. High school = the easy.
I dont know what Im going to do at university...probably some kind of subject that wont lead to definitie career like english or art :\ |
College sucks. Don't go.
I hate it. Then again, I went to a school I don't fit into at all, which is why I'm transferring. I'll get back to you next year on that one. |
Ok sounds good, Ive still got like 4 years anyway, so no rush.
|
I'm kind of considering not going to college.
|
Get a trade.
|
I'm going for History/Band/Music teacher.
Shifty way to go, but what the **** else should I do? I've got no skills anywheres else. |
Teachers get like piss all money though thats the problem.
|
Yeah I know.
But whatever I guess. I think I'll still be doing Bagpipe gigs, so there's my source of spending money ($150-250 per gig, usually a gig means playing for 15-30 minutes, and standing around for another 15-30 minutes). My best pay ever was $150 for 45 seconds of playing :p Fuckin' crazy money, but gigs only happen once every 2 or so weeks, if you're looking for them. http://i6.tinypic.com/2uoqdg1.jpg Let's all ROFL @ Matt in this picture. |
Shi! that is gnarly pay man gg
|
For sure man.
Anyways I'm out. I'm going to school, no more playing Muse stuff on guitar for me :( |

Sucks about your semester, though - at least for me I know when stuff is due, so I get into sort of a routine. Experiments are due every Friday, homework due Tuesday, current event article () every Monday, etc. See what I mean by busywork? The labs are pretty cool and the homework gets me to actually read the assigned readings, but come on, the last time I did a current event for anything was back in sixth grade, and I had to do one a month, not one a week, heh. Yikes about your tests... best of luck, though.
College sucks. Don't go. I hate it. Then again, I went to a school I don't fit into at all, which is why I'm transferring. I'll get back to you next year on that one.
Well, did you actually visit the campus and go on a tour? Or did you just go to the one that gave you the most scholarship money? For all the dudes and ladies talking about college and university: hey, it's not for everybody, and some people will just go straight to the workforce right after high school. It's totally up to you and what you'll be happy with, but I would still encourage you guys to apply, and if you don't feel like going away right off the bat, then take a year or two at a community college and then transfer your credits. In deciding, just make sure you keep as many options as you can open. Don't restrict yourself to one or two options, or feel that your decision is binding - it never is. Find out as much as you can. Talk to students who go there, ask about what they did and how they did, do well on your standardized tests (if you have 'em, anyway), and go take a campus tour. You want to see and walk around at the place you're going to spend the next few years of your life at, so you might as well feel good about being there, you know? Walking around the school I go to now was honestly one of the biggest reasons why I go to the school that I go to, aside from the multitude of stuff that they offer.
http://i6.tinypic.com/2uoqdg1.jpg
Hahahaha. Nice mugshot (h5) |
Well, did you actually visit the campus and go on a tour?

Now I hate chemistry, want to drop out of college, applied to BU to transfer, and changed my major to music. I hope I get into BU. I'll be MUCH happier in the city where I belong. Good choice of BU, though - one of my neighbors back home went there for his undergrad. |
