Uh oh, suicidal internet person here.

Rule #1: Never go on your suicidal problems over the internet. It makes you look lame, and people don't take you seriously.

Rule #2: Life always gets better.

Rule #3: A teenage metal band? It has nothing to do with your talent. It has to do with their stupidity. Seriously. They couldn't know a good drummer if they were smacked in the face.

Rule #4: I don't take suicidal people seriously. I've dealt with a fair share of them in real life, and half the time its just attention whores who annoy the crap out of me. I never take them seriously. Especially over the internet.

BanninatedbySubtle 11-12-2006 11:48 PM

I failed my HSC [big high-school thing], I had depression, I had no skills, no girlfriend.

2 years later I own property and earn a considerable amount and pay for my girlfriend and drum-gear habit. In conclusion, life has stages, it'll get better.

ATTN Futuro:
What are your favorite Gordian Knot songs?

I'm making an uber CD for a friend of mine full of awesome and mostly obscure music and can't decide what Gordian Knot songs to put on it.

I know I'm going to put Reflections on there for sure though. I need like one or 2 more.

Sync0pation 11-13-2006 12:03 AM

Everything feels bad now. It's really just a temporary feeling. from the posts you've made I think you're a kickass guy. Just stick through it man, itll get better. MX is here for you

Reflections is my favorite! That acoustic solo over the disorted rhythm :hawt:

I have always really enjoyed Muttersparche too. 2:40 the spacial tone of the instruments...mmmm :) Also the "chorus" melody is amazing.

And maybe code/anticode? Contrapuntal music ftw!

mysticalyeti 11-13-2006 12:20 AM

Muttersprache OWNS. I love that song.

Yeah it really does own, even the **** sounding distorted harmony is amazing when it finally resolves itself.

My favorite part is the 3:40 section. I guess its the chorus. Catchy as hell, I hum it late at night laying in my bed.

So a friend of mine let me borrow her rented video of Strangers With Candy tonight. I told her I was planning on going to rent it from one of the stores near my house sometime this week, but she got this one (for free) from her work on the other side of town.

I gladly took it, as it saved me $3 or $4. I figured she had it for a while, seeing as she works there, so I could give it to her tomorrow night when we hang out. Until afterwards her boyfriend told me she only gave it to me because it has to be back tomorrow and she didn't want to get up 5 minutes earlier to take it back before she went to school.

So now I have to walk the 30 minutes there, and 30 minutes back, seeing as I don't drive and my parents are out of town.

So let's say the movie would have cost me $4 to rent from the store 5 minutes from my house.

Is my 60 minutes of walking (in below 0 temperatures) worth $4 an hour?

The movie wasn't even that great. It was okay, but not worth an hour of me being cold.
Should I just give up? I literally ahve nothing left to stride for, My Best Friend in the world hates me and I have no way of changing her mind, and no ambition to try to change it.
Nothing to strive for??? You gotta be fucking kidding.

You're a drummer...Practice drums. Strive to become a drumgod. Work on it hard enough and you'll get your mind off this chick in no time AND you'll be a better drummer.
School, I am doing incredably poorly, and now that my best friend is out of my life I will drop like a rock, so I need the time to put into my school work.
Focus on school. Quit putting so much emphasis on social life. Education and knowledge are ALOT more important than social life.

In the real world, social life doesn't mean shit. Of course it's cool to have one but it's not essential. So get off Myspace, delete your profile, and start working towards bettering yourself instead of worrying about other people's crappy lives.

Pay attention in school, do your all your homework, get A's on everything, go to college, get A's on everything there, then go out and make tons of money. Then you'll have chicks crawlin all over you.

And even if you don't, you'll have money. Contrary to what many people think, money basically runs the world. Not love, money. Love is not power, money is. So go get some.
And Drumming, Put it this way, I tried out for a TEENAGE METAL BAND! kids who can't read music, and they didn't pick me, now I am not a metal drummer, but I still can play it decent, and when i paly with a band/jam ,I d not play well at all, I go out of tie, I paly too fast, I just screw up.
"Teenage metal band" bahahahahahaha...

Anyway, work with the click on the kit, work that SC on the pad to a click, and play to music. Quit crying and go do it now.

Drumming can help get your mind off all the bullshit in life. That's one of the reasons I love playing drums.
my family is constantly bitching at me cause I will not take the tinyest bit of nagging from my mom, I tell her to screw off and then I just leave the house...
Ok.. Go get a job. When you aren't doing homework, be either working or practicing drums. Then you won't have to deal with your mom and you'll be making money.

If your mom pisses you off when your trying to practice, leave the house and take practice pad and sticks with you. Practice at the park or whereever.

Remember, eventually you'll NEED money to survive. Nobody in this world NEEDs a girlfriend; people WANT girlfriends. There's a huge difference. Think about it.

I got NHL 07 for ps2. The controls seem hard as fak

Sunshine 11-13-2006 08:20 AM

Yaaay.

I missed Leftover Crack [boo >=(] but I got a t-shirt and CD out of it anyway.

And there's another show next month with Wanda's Last Hours, Revolt, Cynical Creation and Behemoth.

And my boyfriend asked me to accompany him <3

Of course, I almost replied "Sure, I'd LOVE to go get beaten to death with loud music as a background with you <3" but I didn't. But it's true. But that's OK, shows are worth a couple days of not really being able to move.

Futuro 11-13-2006 08:24 AM

Ah man, Im learning Digital Vertigo on teh drums. The tempi (plural?) change near the end kills me. Half the band plays pentuplet16th variations of the measure and the rest of the band plays the original tempo under it. :( Such a hard to song to drum too.

Just like alternate the hits betwean cowbell and bass?
