Strange Days is a very good album. Their s/t is also very good. Most often, it is the most known, but still has some excellent songs on there.
My favorite would probably be Soul Kitchen or When The Music's Over. |
Both very good albums but it stands as:
s/t > Strange Days The End > When The Music's Over |
My favourite Doors album (I swear I post this like once a week) is Strange Days. I own Strange Days, their s/t, LA Woman and 13 (a Greatest Hits) on vinyl. I've also got Strange Days, their s/t, LA Woman, Waiting for the Sun and Soft Parade CD.s
When the Music's Over is probably my favourite song. |
For me Strange Days > s/t
When the Music's Over > The End When the Music's Over is my favorite Door's song though. And I like LA Woman better than either of those albums above. |

See! We talk about The Doors plenty. |
I have all their studio albums (except the last 2 without Morrison), last live concert ever recorded, a bootleg of his infamous 1968 Miami concert, greatest hits, a rarities set and American Poet.
*huge Doors fan* I really liked the avatar that I stole from magicbus awhile ago. (red one) We never talk about the Doors anymore. :-/
Next time you switch your avatar, use that one. My favorite Doors songs are Riders On The Storm, When The Music's Over, The End, and People Are Strange. |
Bummer about the YSI threads.

Maybe it's just because I'm CCCRRRAAAAZZZZYYYY........?!!?!?!?! :naughty: ;) :p :amaze:  :upset: :smoke:
NP: The Crystal Ship - The Doors Edit: Magicbus: Yea, I think I will. :) |
See! We talk about The Doors plenty.
I'd say we talk about them quite a bit. We've had so many conversations about them it's hard to keep the talk fresh unless some more members keep coming in. |
i have around 250 bought albums. and about 700 on my computer.
|
This is crazy, I was just on a Doors listening spree today I listened to Peace Frogs a billion times I love the guitar in it.
My favorite Doors song: Touch Me - reminds me of so many good memorys. *dreams* I have about 300 albums and like 50-100 YSI-ited albums, most of which I don't listen to much. |
My favorite Doors song: Touch Me - reminds me of so many good memorys. *dreams*
You know Robby actully wanted it to be called Hit Me "Come on come on come on and hit me baby can't you see that I am not afraid".

And that is why you never let guitarists make decisions. |
Yea the one with the nipples.
 I remember RNR begging you to change it because he didn't want to see Morrison's nipples every time you posted. |
Next time you switch your avatar, use that one.
And that is why you never let guitarists make decisions.
I don't know I have alot of respect for Robby great style and very great guitarist. |
underrated too. not many people acknowledge him as a great player.
|
The Doors constantly straddle the line between "great" and "unlistenable" for me. They have their moments---there are definitely high points in their career---and they have definitely put out a lot of crappy songs.
|
Extremly underrated. It's because Morrison's voice and Ray's keyboards just drown him out. Most great guitarists stand out more than the other members in their band and Robby doesn't stand out.
Illmatic: Actully I think more than 70% of their songs can be considered good. |
the doors are awsome indeed, but what do u guys think of pink floyd?
my favc songs from them comfortably numb, welcome to the machine, money, another brtick in the wall,we dont need no education |

I'll agree that he's pretty good, although I don't think he's really all that drowned out by Maznarek or Morrison. Maznarek (am I spelling that right?) is definitly the most talented member, though. |
I'm not 100% sure, because I haven't heard L.A. Woman yet, but I think The Doors first album is their best. I love "Back Door Man," Jim really howls on that one.
So I did a album count yesterday, and it turns out I have 62 cds (not including burnt cds) and 33 vinyls. Metallica leads the way in total with 10 and Pink Floyd came in a close second with 8.
53 here. CDs are one of the few things I spend my money on.
 I think I like your avatar now more than Morrison with no shirt.
I have that poster in my room.
the doors are awsome indeed, but what do u guys think of pink floyd? my favc songs from them comfortably numb, welcome to the machine, money, another brtick in the wall,we dont need no education
That's only my favorite song by them, dude! |
Im not a huge door fan,but i like a couple of their songs, mostly their big ones.
Edit:I dont think that metalika guy is gonna be back here, cause we made fun of his post about we dont need no education as a song, which is retarded to. |
I have that poster in my room.
Which, Morrison or Belushi? And Back Door Man is an awesome cover. |
Which, Morrison or Belushi? And Back Door Man is an awesome cover.
Morrison. Right above my bed. np: GWAR. Wtf? |
Gwar is only good in Empire Records.
|
I have a poster of the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, the Doors and a really cool poster of the words "Imagine" in my room. I'll take pictures of the Beatles + Imagine, they're cool.
Edit: Just kidding, no pictures, camera's broken. |
Gwar is only good in Empire Records.
/laughs at movie |
I got this pretty cool Beatles one of them in Sgt. Peppers uniforms but its one of those pictures made up of like millions of tiny pictures.
I also have a Dave Navarro, Jane's Addiction, Jimi Hendrix, Scarface, John Lennon, Stones, Doors, and Incubus posters in my room. |
