i usually try not to rant, but what the hell.
well i think i'm going to apply for a job at extra foods at the end of summer, since i keep getting f'ucked out of hours at the golf course. i'm going to tell my dad tonight that i'm not coming back next year, and probably not finish this year off, due to the hopelessness of everyone who works there. i'm gonna need a mighty big raise and guaranteed hours if he wants to keep me another year. this summer i was scheduled to work 4 days on, 4 days off (over 2 months, thats 30+ days of work) and so far i've only been able to work 7 days total. so i'll tell him he's on his own if he wants any chance of good greens next year, since everyone on the maintenance crew has no idea of how to grow grass. 3 of them even went to university for it, and i know more than they do. /rant. |
iPods have a terrible battery. It only holds charge for summat like 300 charges, whereas the creative zen holds for 2000. The iPod can only play MP3, the zen plays both MP3 and WMA (which is good seein as i rip all my CD's to WMA) The zen has a much friendlier control system, the zen has pretty lights and is cheaper. Plus the zen can be used to hold data as well.
The new iPods have a much better battery than the old ones, so your first statement is no longer true. The ipods can play mp3, wav, aac, and a couple others. WMA is not as high quality of a codec as mp3 or aac, so if you want the best sound quality there's no problem with not having wma support, not to mention its easy to convert them to mp3s if need be. Not to mention ipods have been praised by countless renowned technology magazines/websites/etc. as having a highly efficient and intuitive control system along with being very aesthetically pleasing. Ipods can hold data also, pretty much all hard drive based MP3 players can.
And yeah, Zens own ipods asses anyday. Wouldnt trade mine for the world. Even charges while your uploadin music
Ipods charge while uploading music too. In fact they were one of the first drive based players to do so. |
wow! anyone here like ben folds??? hes coming to savannah!!!!!!!!! yay no one ever comes here im soo going
|
^
no. lol I'm going to Evergreen Terrace on the 30th though, badass band. This'll be my 3rd time seeing them, the first time I skipped my senior prom to go haha |
well, im not a huge fan of his, but wierd al is at most of his shows haha, but anyway im going because my sister is a huge fan, and no one ever comes here....so atleast its a show
|
oh and my soon to be boyfriend (hopefully) likes them, so i invited him to go with me, see im so nice :):):)
|
awww, sucker.
He's only going cause you're a chick and asked him haha ;) Anyways yeah, Evergreen Terrace. Last time they were here (about a month ago) I gave their singer Andrew a copy of my band's live CD, which has their song "No Donnie, These Men are NIhilists" on it, which we perform live duh Anyways, they've been on tour since, so I'm gonna see what he thought about it, and ask if I can play No Donnie on drums when they play it hahahah :D |

You cant tell me that a WMA file with a bitrate of 192 isnt better than a 128 MP3 file. And if they're similar in technological respects, then i stand by my opinion that the Zen looks better. Most people i know (a fair few of them hand build computers for a living, including the server our local 6000 member forum runs off) hate iPods because they're unreliable. Anyway its all down to preference so just leave it. |
dang!!! these nutty buttys are good as hell
:EDIT :p page snypa virgin :) |
^^^
Yeah, Nutter butters are awesome, asuming I'm understanding you correctly. |

My zen xtra has a lot of other great features such as the bookmarking tool where you can bookmark a certain part in the song and start from there which is really helpful with drumming to songs when your trying to get down a certain part. You can also speed up and slow down songs which i find useful when the drummer does a extremely long fill that you want to try to figure out. i win. |
well right now i'm learning the hotel california solo. i've always told myself that i'd learn it some day, so i decided now's the time, in the half hour i have before i'm probably going out for the night.
anyone else in here play guitar too? what kind of stuff? are you any good? |
Sounds like the iPOD isnt even worth it IMO.
|
well right now i'm learning the hotel california solo.
i know that song, the last solo bit is really fun!
what kind of stuff? are you any good?
all kinds of music, and im pretty good (maybe) ....(hell i probably suck) |

yeah, you can get a 40GB creative nomad for like $215 which is $15 more than a 4GB ipod mini. then again, someone i know is willing to pay like $400 for an ipod just because you get the ipod. really, even a half-retarded monkey knows the nomad is a better deal. |
ha screew mp3s alltogether its all about vinal, better sound
|
I like ipods more. Zen is great though.
|

Vinyl only lasts so long. After awhile it wears out and then you can't use it anymore. |
