I started writing a song yesterday (tabbing it out).

Its tedious and horrible.

Yes, tabbing is awful, I hate doing it, and avoid it if possible.

It's a weird, simple little composition that I'm doing, it's all in one key and it's very open to improv, so I'm trying to nail down some steady licks on it. It's a middle eastern sounding thing, basically I'm just hammering the open low E and playing middle-eastern sounding licks with it.

Sounds like a thrash version of Nile.

I wanna hear.

It's slow though.

Once I get it all tabbed (and get my stupid, stupid, stupid production programs working again) I'll see if I can get it sounding presentable, and I'll record.

Is it just a guitar peice, Paranoidd? Or can you sing too? I'd like to hear it also, if you get it to a presentable point.

I can sing horribly, but there would be no way I could sing anything on this track, unless I want to do arabic style stuff (and I am so not doing it.)

I can sing, but some of the kids I used to hang out with (I don't anymore for obvious reasons) say I am the worst singer ever, cause I have a deep voice and when I sing along with led zeppelin I don't try to immitate Plant's voice (my voice isn't high pitched [B]d[/B]amn it!). They also say "I don't know music," because I like metal, and "Metal is just hitting random strings and screaming about your girlfriend,".

Yeah, with me its the opposite. I can sing very low and very high but my friends have a limited mid range voice and they have these gruff voices and cant sing any intimate parts. Then they say I suck because I sing emotionaly while they're screming out the words to sweet child of mine.

Hah, I can't sing high, but I can sing high for my voice.... I sing kinda like Mikael Akerfeldt when I'm singing soft stuff, but I sing like Head Welch when I'm singing metal.
