Hmmmm, A Auto-Wah gives a 2-3 signal's that peak at different rates (I hope that make's sense?) so it gives it that "Synth" sound. Where a Wah pedal is one signal and you control it. I like the Auto-Wah better it's sounds very funky and if you don't have very good coardination(sp?) trying to pluck/finger and do the wah pattern you want is quite difficult. Look on the Electro-Harmonix web site and the Digi-Tech web page for samples :thumb:

Hope it helped.

Yea, i thuaght it was like that, i think of it like this, on Auto wah you push it down and take foot off to the wah on, and Wah, you push it and have to keep foot on to hear the wah i think.

InMyPlace 09-14-2004 12:10 PM

Yep :D

Untitled 09-14-2004 12:12 PM

Woo, im clever, i dunno what i want now, Wah, Auto Wah, or both. :(
Hello. I happen to be an American, but I must say, I kinda wish I was british sometimes. I have a distinct appreciation for British people and things, especially British music. Why is it that a lot of Mainstream American Music pales in comparison with the British stuff we get over here? The Beatles(best... band... ever), Coldplay, Radiohead (my two obsessions), Jamie Cullum (awesome), Rancid (better than American Punk, at least)... etc. And why is British humor so much funnier than a lot of the American humor? Monty Python was bloody brilliant sketch comedy, and shows like "Keeping Up Appearances", "Red Dwarf", "Are You Being Served?", "Absolutely Fabulous" and such are hilariously funny. So much of British culture seems better (and more fun) than what we have over here.

No, I am not trying to "fit in" or be a poser Brit; this is how I really feel. Any thoughts from the Brits?

-Mike
Just thought i'd drag this up. Rancid are american

Drop The Baby 09-14-2004 03:08 PM

Sorry, i meant F1 replays :o

Untitled 09-14-2004 03:20 PM

Next year the F1 should be good, there cuting down on all the arodynamics and stuff so theyll be a bit slower, but make for better racing.

Drop The Baby 09-14-2004 03:21 PM

I hope the races will be a bit tighter, there are some good racers but they just can't compete with Ferrari

Untitled 09-14-2004 03:27 PM

Yea, you gotta give it to them though, there making a good car and noone else can keep up, its good that theres somon like that, but drives away fans

ha ha ha i made a bad pun.

bobbass4k 09-14-2004 04:24 PM
Just thought i'd drag this up. Rancid are american
Ummm.... ehh... sorry. My mistake. Somehow, I thought they were British.

Spectrum 09-14-2004 08:26 PM

oh, and bobbass4k, I am Mike, the American who thinks British people have good music (Coldplay, Jamie Cullum, Keane, Damien Rice) and hilarious comedy (Monty Python, "Red Dwarf", "Are You Being Served?") and quality authors (Tolkien, Shakespeare). I really do hope to get to visit the UK some day.

Oh, and that clock tower of yours, Big Ben, has always been cool to me. I actually have a 3D puzzle of it that I built up in my room. It's right next to Michelangelo's Sistine Chappel.

Adam Jones is GOD 09-15-2004 05:34 AM

WHAT HAPPENED?! Did 5 whole pages appear magically since I last posted? You guys post more when im not here :upset:
Ptth football  tiz a girls sport

Ahh, ill forgive and forget. I've read back, is your recording still going to happen?
And the wah/auto wah was something I needed to know now, glad it got mentioned.

As for the avatar theft, im afraid to say that joe whathisface did have it first, I was speaking to him ages ago about Hell is for Heroes and I noticed he had it then. (but does he have a thread with 180 pages? Methinks not  )

Spectrum 09-15-2004 05:44 AM

Hello, Adam Jones. Nice to see you.

Adam Jones is GOD 09-15-2004 05:49 AM

Ah you're the american guy we've adopted I assume? Greetings from the Midlands Mxer (The middle of Engalns, everyone else is either North or South, I get stuck in the middle)

I must congratualte you on you mulit instrumental-ness by the way

Spectrum 09-15-2004 07:35 AM

Thank you. I am working on getting some recording time to lay down some solo piano cover work. Speaking of which, I just finished by-ear arranging Gary Jules' "Mad World" over on the piano, which is now about 2 meters away from me.

I am so impressed with myself. *sarcastic

Do you play anything (other than Final Fantasy... I'm talking about instruments)

Adam Jones is GOD 09-15-2004 07:48 AM

Yup, guitar and attempted harmonica, its such a chick magnet :thumb:

Wish I could ear tab music, i've only managed one song so far, I just have no sense of pitch at all

Drop The Baby 09-15-2004 10:41 AM

I play the bass, as does basically everyone who is in here. I have a guitar but haven't really started that yet :upset:

Untitled 09-15-2004 10:49 AM

Untitled 09-15-2004 11:22 AM
