:amaze: sounds like it would be a good listen.

Badmoon 08-26-2004 09:57 PM

Have you ever wished this thread was moved to Other music?

I think it may be time for a Classic Rock EXODUS!!!!!!!!!!

rock not rolll 08-26-2004 09:59 PM

Yeah...

:amaze: we could get superpeer to move it.

Badmoon 08-26-2004 10:00 PM

Sure

/me no bring it up to the council

rock not rolll 08-26-2004 10:00 PM

I will. :D (we will need 2 more people with over 100 posts here to agree I think).

Seafroggys 08-26-2004 10:43 PM

I just saw Tommy today. Pretty cool movie. It inspired me to do a rock opera for my senior quest this upcoming year. (ie senior project)

Is there anything else other then JCS and Tommy? Didn't the Who do another one? I love the whole rock opera concept, and me, being an aspiring filmmaker and rock artist, will begin a crusade to revive it!

Honestly I don't care where it is. It's fine with me. I hardly ever check R&M because it was (I don't know if it is anymore because as I said I never check it) flooded with metal threads which I care nothing for. I just go to my user cp and scome here from there. I'll agree to a move if you'd like though.

rock not rolll 08-26-2004 11:02 PM

Bitchin'.

1 more...

(I agree that it doesn't really matter, It might be a step closer to getting a classic rock forum though)

RockAndRoll 08-26-2004 11:02 PM
"Janis"

Now keep in mind, his live stuff is sooo much different than some of his recorded stuff.
how so?

I like the way you think. I also like the Idea of an exodus, we shall be remembered.

Broken Arrow 08-27-2004 10:04 AM

Exodus>movement of jah people

thelizardkingcc 08-27-2004 12:45 PM

anyone here like rare earth? theyre more funk than classic rock, but they still rock.
they sang "war, what is it good for" "get ready" "hey big brother," and a ****ing incredible cover of "eleanor rigby."

BillCosby 08-27-2004 12:50 PM

I assume a cover? I'm pretty sure Edwin Starr did the original.

rock not rolll 08-27-2004 01:07 PM

So a cover band. ;). eleanor rigby zwns, I want to hear that cover.

Woodstock 08-27-2004 01:17 PM

Hello everyone, back from my ban.

If we were to move this thread to a different file, it would be under best music. :D

rock not rolll 08-27-2004 01:23 PM

We need a rock forum. Metal and rock are different. Most of the time a person will like both but they should be seperated.

Woodstock 08-27-2004 01:26 PM

Agreed^

Broken Arrow 08-27-2004 01:31 PM

I think there should be a Classic Rock section so there could be more than one classic rock thread. :smoke:

Paranoidd 08-27-2004 01:31 PM

Why? We barely generate enough discussion to keep this thread going sometimes.

rock not rolll 08-27-2004 01:32 PM

^there can be. You can make threads about classic rock bands. There are a bunch on the first page ;)

Edit: to woodstock.

And we have enough discussion. A personal section of the forum would spawn more discussion.

Woodstock 08-27-2004 01:34 PM

I made threads about Steve Miller, Rolling Stones, and the Dead but they all die out within a few days :upset:

I guess there are not enough fans

rock not rolll 08-27-2004 01:35 PM

^all threads die out within a few days.

Woodstock 08-27-2004 01:36 PM

Not this one, it's a diamond in the rough

rock not rolll 08-27-2004 01:38 PM

Yes well not the general threads. I'd actually like to see this thread locked (maybe). That way it wouldn't be like classic rock is one small subject. From now on every issue I would raise in this thread i'll make a thread about ;)

Woodstock 08-27-2004 01:39 PM

That would be a lot of baby threads.

Get some college funds.

rock not rolll 08-27-2004 01:42 PM

Or maybe not.

I'm really getting into Tom Petty now. He's king. Anybody else like him? Favorite songs? Albums?

I just got his new(er) album "the last DJ" it's amazing. But I still prefer his older stuff.

Woodstock 08-27-2004 01:45 PM

Older stuff tends to be better no matter the artist.

Anyways, yes I like Tom Petty. Only have greatest, though.

rock not rolll 08-27-2004 01:52 PM

Alice Cooper is coming to Calgary. And I have my tickets. I'm a little worried about him being old and burned out :(

Woodstock 08-27-2004 01:58 PM

I think he has some left in him. I would expect a good show.

rock not rolll 08-27-2004 01:59 PM

yayz
