They were decent live when I saw them...

But it is kinda sad when the crowd only gets pumped for one song and that song is a cover...since they did a cover of a Nirvana song. I forgot what song it was, but they did it quite well actually.

Updates in the life of Peter:

I still have not officially broken up with girl #1. We just don't talk. We hung out once in the last 3 weeks and just walked around her neighborhood. I saw her one other time during that span and we did not exhange words. Oh well.
Girl #2 is hot and ready.

My last remaining grandparent is coming to my house for a few days tomorrow. I intend to spend tomorrow night at a friends house (a girl and my grandmother is fairly religious/conservative. She doesn't need to know) in order to get sex (from girl #2) and get high. I will then spend all day out of the house on sunday, and have more sex and get high again sunday night. Good weekend.

There is a forced listening up, someone go do it.

I would think there are others..depends how strict you are on "song". Conflict's album [i]The Ungovernable Force[/i] (which is excellent, incidentally), flows more or less seamlessly from one song to the other.

That's the thing, even if I do careful research and am extremely articulate and unbiased, there will be users who won't bother to read my essay and historiography and will just post "Nu-metal is for pussies and requires no talent."

It's bound to happen. I am not worried about it coming across as being done well, because I'll put 110% effort into it and make darn sure that it's accurate and flawless. It's just I don't want to spend hours carefully constructing something that few people will bother to read.

Ah, that is a good point. There is really nothing you can do about idiots like that, but there may be some people who were uneducated on the genre and may have thier minds changed from it. I used to think the same as people like that, but now, even though I dislike it, I've had my mind changed by people like you who know what they're talking about. One of the pluses is that Dargon isn't here anymore. I see your point for sure though.

I am interested in doing one maybe, but I am afraid I would get something wrong in the information about it heh.

So many idiots on MX that would just come in the thread and bash the genre, but I think it would be cool to see what you recommend, etc.

People seem to stay out of them if they don't like the genre. There were a total of like 5 posts over 7 pages on the Tech Death one that were stupid bashers.

Yeah, that's what's holding me back from doing power metal. I think someone like Steerpike or Hitroshimite would be much better for the job. I don't know of anybody who I think could do a better job of viking/folk metal though though.
