I'm underweight, yo

but not by much at all according to that chart

Sunshine 06-28-2006 03:27 PM

The charts are stupid, too.

Height =/= weight.

Body type, muscle mass, etc...all need to be taken into consideration.

The percentage of your body fat is what actually matters, not your ratio of height and weight =/

Janeway 06-28-2006 03:28 PM

Too bad the only Japanese made cars are Toyota.
Japan workers want more money, so they're moving right to fucking Africa, Thailand, and now Russia, just so those greedy fucks can pay their workers $.03 an hour instead of $.06.

So, the theory that they'll last longer goes down the tube, because right along with cheaper labour comes cheaper parts.

Jezen 06-28-2006 03:28 PM

Muscle weighs more than fat.

Sunshine 06-28-2006 03:29 PM

Whatever.

Buying a Honda isn't going to make the entire world collapse.

Chippy569 06-28-2006 03:31 PM
Too bad the only Japanese made cars are Toyota.
They make more than just Toyota.

Jezen 06-28-2006 03:34 PM

Mitsubishi?

Vannaroth 06-28-2006 03:34 PM

Its clear enough that snakes on a plane is supposed to be stupid while maintaining all seriousness, but as a result of that, just about everyone on earth is gonna go see it

ludvista29 06-28-2006 03:35 PM

how about Subaru!

mysticalyeti 06-28-2006 03:35 PM

Uh, it basically is a joke. Samual L Jackson said he'd only do the movie if they kept the original name, because the people making it wanted to change it to some generic name.

Chippy569 06-28-2006 03:35 PM

Janeway 06-28-2006 03:38 PM

They were in Japan, but they've began to outsource to countries that cost less.

ROFL I am 3 of you.

Sunshine 06-28-2006 03:40 PM

Their cars still last forever.

Go to pretty much any 3rd world country and you'll find Japanese [and ohter Asian] vehicles.

In Vietnam and Cambodia all of the construction vehicles, tour busses [the only industry they actually have], and most of the cars were old Japanese and Korean cars.

And as far as paying less for workers in poor countries than for workers in their own country...

They're not being unfair. They're just paying the appropriate wage for that country.

It's just like if they came over here and started hiring workers. Do you really think they'd pay close to 20 USD per hour, or would they pay closer to 5~7 USD? 'Cause their minimum wage is around 20 USD...would that really be unfair to us?

Janeway 06-28-2006 03:49 PM

But that isn't the point.
=/

You live in America. Like it or not, you do.
I don't give a fuck how unsophisticated and all around shitty you think it is, you're obliged to support it. You've been protected all your life, you've been given somewhere to live, and you've been given money. You don't live an uncomfortable life, I don't care how awful you seem to think it is.
You dwell in relative comfort.
And because you're country allows you to do this, there isn't any reason why you shouldn't support the economy and support you're fellow citizens by purchasing things made here.

And did you ever think that maybe foreign made cars are perhaps cheaper in those third world countries??

fishbulb 06-28-2006 04:01 PM

Snakes on a plane sounds so hilarious.

ludvista29 06-28-2006 04:03 PM
ROFL I am 3 of you.
:amaze: Fattie:p just kidding

Futuro 06-28-2006 04:05 PM

American quality went down in the late 90s. That made the consumers look for something else (foriegn mostly)

Now american cars have gone up in quality, but they wont win back people who drive camrys etc.

raz0r 06-28-2006 04:17 PM

Tool are just too damn awesome.

Being right up against the barrier at the front of a Tool concert, right in front of Danny + Justin is about as awesome as it can get.

Danny Carey really is just too damn awesome. That Sober fill just blows me away every single time.

Tang. 06-28-2006 04:21 PM
