I love going to the games, it's just that the stadium itself isn't that great.
The RFK was the shizzle back when the Skins were good...the stadium was so small and packed that it would literally rock back and forth during a big game.

ATM 04-08-2005 05:22 PM

Yea same here, it's awesome. Where do you live again? I am in Silver Spring.

jpj 04-08-2005 05:23 PM
All of the above.

The design of the stadium, the seat comfort, the Primanti Brothers sandwiches...all worth it.
Primanti sandwiches kick so much ass, if only the Pirates didn't suck big donkey dick.

Assuming you're talking to me, I live in Annapolis.

Best signature stadium food in the country, with Kauffman Stadium's BBQ Pork sandwiches coming in second.

Kurtz 04-08-2005 05:28 PM

Night MXican.

No one goes to soccer games here. Or Laker/Clipper games. It all about Angels and Dodgers. Angel Stadium is pretty nice and has better seating that Dodger, but it has no atmosphere. Dodger Stadium has an awesome atmosphere and great food. The seating isn't that bad, but could be improved.

I'd love it way more if they put a Philippe's there.

lunch998 04-08-2005 05:29 PM

Heinz Field had a great atmosphere when I was there. So does the Comcast Center.

ATM 04-08-2005 05:30 PM

Sucks for you.

Illmatic 04-08-2005 05:34 PM

I remember going to the old Boston Gahden, during the last playoff game ever played there...that was atmosphere.

Fenway, Wrigley, Foxboro, Gillette, The Vet, Soldier Field, Assembly Hall...atmosphere.

The West Coast parks/stadiums I've been to (Safeco, Qualcomm, Pac Bell) were lacking in terms of buzz, as was Turner Field.

Jom 04-08-2005 05:42 PM

Ford Field and Comerica Park are really nice, and the city is excited to host the baseball All-Star Game and Super Bowl XL this year. Both are very spacious, clean, and fan-friendly. Good atmosphere... it's just that the teams that play there suck.

Joe Louis is old, the seats are too small and cramped together, but no matter where you sit, you get a great view of the ice.

The Palace, even though it's older, has spacious seats and good atmosphere.

Joe Louis is old school, one of the few old stadiums left...Chicago Stadium is gone, the Gahden is gone, I'm pretty sure the Montreal Forum is gone...I think Joe Louis and Madison Square Garden are the only ones left.

Your link fails.

lunch998 04-08-2005 05:46 PM

If the Knicks didn't suck Madison Square Garden would be amazing to go to.

Illmatic 04-08-2005 05:46 PM

Comiskey Park/The Cell is a decent stadium, but it holds a lot of sentimental value for me.

Jom 04-08-2005 05:47 PM

I really like Chicago's downtown area, it's too bad I didn't get to explore as much as I wanted to today :-\

Yeah, you can't just spend one day in Chicago.

Good news, bad news. I'm seeing Sin City again tonight, but Tekken 5 was all out.

lunch998 04-08-2005 06:01 PM

I don't know if I can handle Sin City again for awhile.

I'm still yet to see it, but for good reason.

ATM 04-08-2005 06:36 PM

Why's that? Because it isn't available to you yet?

Distant Echoes 04-08-2005 06:48 PM

I tried seeing sin city...i think most the people here know the rest.

I still wanna see it bad though

Absolutely.

And Ray, agree 100% about the West Coast parks. I'd say Fenway and Yankee have the best atmospheres.
