Blood Red Shoes - Box of Secrets

wang masta flex 07-07-2009 08:09 AM
Sonic Youth

i dont know if i will be able to listen to anything else for a while, the show tonight was probably the best I've seen. setlist in rough order if anyone cares:
Sacred Trickster, No Way, Calming the Snake, Leaky Lifeboat, Poison Arrow, Antenna, The World Looks Red, Malibu Gas Station, I Got a Catholic Block, Walkin Blue, Anti-Orgasm, Massage the History, Silver Rocket, What We Know, Making the Nature Scene, The Sprawl, Cross the Breeze
that sounds amazing... T minus ~12 hrs, i cant wait. i really wanna see them do What We Know, Walkin Blue, and Antenna from the Eternal. other than that, i'd really like to see them do I Got A Catholic Block, 'Cross the Breeze, Tom Violence, Tunic (Song For Karen), and/or Titanium Expose.

New music

I've been listening to a new local band. They are called Humanlab. They are similar to alternative, but a little bit more mellow. I can't wait to see one of their concerts

the new tyondai braxton song is pretty cool, not as good as battles but coooool

YourBiggestFan 07-08-2009 07:19 PM

yeah, it's not as rock-y as battles.

I've been going on some Moon Safaris lately.
Are there any other Air albums worth looking into? They've got a pretty big discography. . .

did you see SY perriwinkle

wang masta flex 07-08-2009 11:23 PM

yea it was awesome. they opened with Tom Violence, one of the songs i wanted to see the most. the crowd wasnt too into it but its DC. like nobody was moving at all, except one crazy shirtless chick dancing around in her bra. also, thurston started some songs with a very awkward "1! 2! 3! 4!" but definitely a great show in general.

cbmartinez 07-08-2009 11:35 PM

talkie walkie is fantastic

Bleak 07-09-2009 05:57 PM

I'm digging St. Vincent right now. The album Actor is great.

ATM 07-09-2009 09:04 PM
