album has incantation's filthiness but it's highly structured in an immo sort of way. it's just ridiculously heavy, and the chord progressions across songs are intense. one example is the title track, which toys around with some all right riffs that feel like they're going no where in the first half of the song and then just blasts you with one of the best riffs ever

the first track also builds up perfectly, starting with one riff and making slight variations on it until it reaches the 'meta'-riff

definitely check them out. [I]pslams of the moribund[/I] is prob the best bdm album, [I]chapters of repugnance[/I] is great too, and [I]prelude to the tragedy[/I] is some nice [I]erosion of sanity[/I]/suffo worship
