yeah, that's my favorite Stones song. I've been listening to the Beatles a lot too lately.

I very much doubt you'll get much disagreement on that one.

...why?

People disagree with me on this one all the time. People say that the Rolling Stones were the first "rock" band and the Beatles were just pop...which is bull****.

Hey, the first game of the NFL season is on Thursday. I'm a huge football fanatic, but the pregame bands aren't bad.

Maroon 5 will play (meh), Kanye West (wears pink), Carlos Santana ( :thumb: ), and Green Day (NO!!!!!).

At the halftime the Rolling Stones are gonna play. I'm anxious to see what they might play. A song off of 'A Bigger Bang' perhaps.
What stations is the independent one you speak of?

And yeah 99.1 is pretty plain...if it's not on a great hits compilation it's probably not played. 104.1 was such a good station before it mutated into a terrible rap station *tear*
98.1 WKZE-- It used to be out of Sharon, CT and broadcasted out of Millerton, NY, but I think they moved it to Rhinebeck, NY a few months ago. I don't know if you can get it there, but I know it goes at least as far as Torrington. You might be able to pick it up at 1020AM, though

Angusmaster- I hate to be a grammer cop, I really do, but could you leave out the space you put before commas? ie: Oh, Yeah in stead of Oh , yeah?
It'll make your posts much easier to read :)
/end grammar cop

angusmaster 09-05-2005 08:22 PM

Yep,Santana is awesome.

Edit: Ok grammar cop, ill quit it starting now.

Ahh, you know where I live! Creepy.

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out. Maybe they'll stream online, I know kfog in California (the coolest radio station ever) streams online.

classicrockman 09-05-2005 08:40 PM

Back to what I said earlier, what do you think the Stones are gonna play at halftime? Probably "Start Me Up".

rockinbass17 09-05-2005 08:42 PM

"Street Fighting Man", "You Can't Always Get what You Want", "Start Me Up", and maybe "Honky Tonk Woman".

The more well known ones, definatley.

I think I know what state/provence everyone in here is from, you must have let it slip in the Beatles thread :p

/Isn't a stalker
/wonders how frightening a female stalker would be in the firstplace
/maybe if she was the pro-wrestleing type
/isn't pro-wrestleing type

Speaking of radio, Does anyone catch Little Stephen's Underground Garage? I think it's on on Saturdays

DeusExMachina 09-05-2005 08:44 PM

They'll play Wild Horses. A super awesome extended version of it that lasts the entire half time show.

Hey, I can dream, can't I?

Wouldn't it be sick if they played "Paint it Black" or "Mommy's Little Helper?"

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 09-05-2005 08:47 PM

OMG! That would be soooooooo awsome. To bad it isn't going to happen. :(

DeusExMachina 09-05-2005 08:48 PM

Meh, Wild Horses > Paint it Black and Mother's Little Helper. Wild Horses > all Stones songs.

I agree with you about the female stalking thing too. I had one a few years back big fat crazy bitch. You tell her to "**** OFF!" and she says "Oh, Spencer and your silly words." What a ****en crazy bitch followed me forever and still calls my name when I pass by and I always tell her to **** off but she doesn't get it.

/creeped out
/I have an army of freshman boy stalkers that are all my sister's friends. Stupid freshman boys.

EDIT: I always hate to see those beached-whale types that think their rich fathers and large posse make up for their severe unpleasntness
There is one at my school that does it to girls too, all that have felt her wrath fear her very name. The kind or freshman that constantly attempts to woo a junior who is engaged to his girlfriend, and threatens suicide if he doesn't go out with her

poor Jason :upset:

oooh, sorry that's incorrect.

Badmoon 09-05-2005 09:00 PM

My general derogatory and "quick to insult" personality keeps all interested stalkers miles away.

:)

EDIT: I think it'd be fair to add "belligerent" to the mix.

 That amused me. I moved, so I have no stalkers anymore. Actually, funny storry, one of my best friends I met because he decided to randomly stalk me and my family. Like, I hardly knew him, just some dude in my class, and then one day in eighth grade he came up to me and was like "hey, how are your parents doing?" And then proceeded to tell me their names, ages, educational backgrounds, where they work(ed), etc. etc. Man, google can be creepy.

Freshman are annoying, regardless of gender or stalker status. Except, I get to coach freshman on my debate team, and it's fun. They're all small and scared of everyone, and I get to freak them out about stuff.

Seriously, Wild Horses is so friggin good. I really wanted to get tickets to the current Stones show, because they said they'd be playing songs that they didn't normally play live, and I was hoping that included Wild Horses. Unfortunately, the tickets sold out before I got any.
