Against Miik! 09-05-2005 01:13 PM
Really? Are you sure? I heard he looked it up, and then claimed it was for research when he was caught.
Yeah sure...research.

My friend is going to see the Stones in Columbus. I'm horribley jealous. I could go if I had $800.

Badmoon 09-05-2005 01:16 PM
Me and Livewired quit, sort of.

I think it's really lame now. The community thread is beyond repair, and the Classic Rock thread is either the same old topics or just Badmoon talking about country music. There isn't enough variety, and everyone on MX is forced into thinking the same way. It's a waste of time sometimes, and real friends are cooler than internet ones.
WTF
WTF
 Post a link, perhaps? I find this highly amusing.
Yeah sure...research.
My thoughts exactly. I assumed he was guilty when I heard that.

How did you find that? Reading every page of a community thread on a forum you don't post on?

ATM 09-05-2005 02:29 PM
What album? :)

That's what I heard on the radio a little while ago.
Gris Gris. I haven't given it a proper listen yet. What should I expect?
WTF
You barely ever just talk about country music :\

That's low.

Distant Echoes 09-05-2005 02:48 PM

funny that badmon took the time to find that out...

Simple mans forums are under attack - We're gonna need to work on a counterstrike (me being part of the other forums :thumb:)

JonG 09-05-2005 02:52 PM

What's the link for Simple Mans forums?

I'm a member of both too, but I think I'm just going to sit and watch this "fight" instead of getting involved :)

Being sick sucks. Just thought I'd say that.

My nose is plugged to hell, my throat is dry, last night I was freezing to death, I went to the bathroom about 5 times in the middle of the night, I'm all warm.

Being sick sucks. Fortunately, I almost never get sick. I get colds once in a while, but I almost never get really sick. It's been like 3 years or more since I last threw up actually.

So the White Album pwns.

Glitterati 09-05-2005 03:03 PM

I just bought some CDs.

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Bob Dylan - Blonde On Blonde

:-D

Two essentials. I like Blonde On Blonde better, but they are both amazing. Both kind of overrated, but still great.

How you've gotten this far without those albums :p

Sgt. Peppers is incredible. Every song on there is awesome.

ATM 09-05-2005 03:16 PM

Some guy in the Pit listed that as one of the albums he is embarssed to own.

Not the best album for either one of those artists

Yea, I've just stopped posting.

I agree. For Dylan it's got to be Blood On The Tracks, and for the Beatles I go back and forth between Abbey Road and The White Album. I think Abbey Road is better, but The White Album is my favorite if that makes any sense.

np- Cry Baby Cry

Badmoon 09-05-2005 03:38 PM

Dylan - Bringing it All Back Home
The Beatles - Revolver

IMO

Ha, I actually agree with both of those (even though I think Abbey Road > Revolver > Rubber Soul > White Album)

Broken Arrow 09-05-2005 03:45 PM

I'd agree for "Abbey Road" but I'd say thats Dylan's best is "Blonde on Blonde".

Illmatic 09-05-2005 03:52 PM

Blonde On Blonde has a few great songs ("4th Time Around", "Visions of Johanna", "Stuck Inside of Mobile...", "One Of Us Must Know...") but it also has his most annoying song ("Rainy Day Women"), so i dunno

NP: Stevie Wonder - Superstitious

Meh I like Rainy Day Woman 12 & 35. It's a fun song to listen to, nothing more. The only part I find annoying about it is that Dylan n00bs think of it as one of his best songs, which it isn't even close to being. Leopard Skin Pillbox Hat is another great one from that album.

Broken Arrow 09-05-2005 03:55 PM

Yeah, I'd say "Visions of Johanna" is my favourite Dylan song so that may have something to do with it.

robo2448 09-05-2005 04:00 PM

That's my friends favorite Dylan song. Great song. We're the only really big Dylan fans in the school

Rolling Stone had Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club as their #1 album of all time.

But then again it's Rolling Stone and lots of people strongly disagree with that magazine...

Their lists suck IMO, but it's impossible to please everyone. It's good that they at least attempt lists.
