it the randomness and almost lack of structure that makes Dillinger hard

The Feeding 03-22-2009 02:41 PM

my stereo in my car is jacked it won't play burned cd's at all, and it doesn't have an MP3 player input. Too bad i don't have a job or i would buy a new one...

Eh not really that so much actually to the contrary it's very structured it's just not the normal structure you hear in every other song.

It's hard cuz Penne is a ridic drummer and I can't figure out his fills usually :p

well you know what i mean

omg his fills are just ridiculous. i almost hate him for it

Permanent Solution 03-22-2009 03:39 PM

I was very disappointed when I saw Coheed and Cambria open for Slipknot and when I left everyone was talking about how sick Joey Jordison was and no one said a damn thing about Chris Pennie :(

Pete 03-22-2009 03:42 PM

how is pennie when he plays with co&ca? does he get to do any crazy stuff?

Permanent Solution 03-22-2009 03:48 PM
how is pennie when he plays with co&ca? does he get to do any crazy stuff?
He's pretty awesome. Having seen them several times with both drummers, I'd say Pennie does play a little bit more. They play a lot of songs faster live nowadays. When they headlined it was better because Pennie actually did a great 5-10 minute drum solo. As openers no one really did anything all that crazy (usual guitar soloing with teeth and talking into the pickups). It's also better on their slower, more improvisational songs (Final Cut comes to mind) because there's more space to play. In the fast progressive songs he can't do anything too fancy without throwing it off.

Pete 03-22-2009 03:50 PM

sounds to me like he shouldve stayed with DEP :(

Permanent Solution 03-22-2009 03:52 PM

DEP is getting stagnant/lame nowadays.

But then so is CoCa =\

negrodamus 03-22-2009 04:05 PM

Pete 03-22-2009 04:05 PM

negrodamus 03-22-2009 04:06 PM

Pete 03-22-2009 04:07 PM
