Awesome comrade. Are you trying to get in their top 8? :p |
Sonic Youth
Dinosaur Jr. My Bloody Valentine At the Drive-In and a tie between Jawbreaker and The Flaming Lips |
Top 5 bands?
Mr. Bungle Pearl Jam Radiohead Tool The Decemberists That might not be 100% right, but pretty close. I've never really tried to make the definite top 5 list, but that seems about right. That list is pretty diverse... |
Awesome comrade.

John Frusciante
Matthew Good Pat Metheny Red Hot Chili Peppers Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds |
I have trouble making lists like this, I'm too indecisive. I really like High Fidelity though, which I find to be somewhat ironic.
|
Sonic Youth
Dinosaur Jr. My Bloody Valentine At the Drive-In and a tie between Jawbreaker and The Flaming Lips
actually i'm gonna make this a top 10. Sonic Youth Dinosaur Jr. My Bloody Valentine At the Drive-In Flaming Lips Jawbreaker Defiance, Ohio Olivia Tremor Control Sunny Day Real Estate Ghost Mice |
Well my mom likes Nickelback, only the soft stuff, Mindi Abair, Peter White, and then like a ****load of random favorite bands that change every week... speaking of which Nickelback is one of those.
|
ha. like my top 10 are pretty much all mainstream bands.
|
John Frusciante
Ataxia Shellac Tortoise Either Slint or anything Zorn-related |
Either Slint or anything Zorn-related
I've got Surgical Sound Specimens on my ipod so every now and then I'll wake up at five in the morning to the sounds of scraping bones and screams and ****. Jolly good fun. :thumb: |
I haven't heard that, is it good?
|
The Cure should probably be on my honorable mentions section.
|
Yeah, it's good for what it is. It doesn't get as boring as those kinds of things can, but it could definitly be more interesting. The parts that are musical are great, and the ambient parts are really good too, it just takes a certain state of mind to listen to it; either on a long car ride or just a mood where you want to and can be scared ****less. You want it? :naughty:
EDIT: Why did I think Zorn was involved in this (Fantomas-Delirium Cordia)? |
Sure! I'm always open to more Zorn!
|
I don't think Zorn had anything to do with this, but here it comes. *prepares to wait
|
EDIT: Why did I think Zorn was involved in this (Fantomas-Delirium Cordia)?
Cause him and Mike Patton and gang are tight? |
Fantomas live is so amazing. One of my favorite concerts that I've been to. I even found a really good audience recording that I have on my computer. :D
|
Oh. I didn't know that. :( I'm bad about keeping up with bands I listen to. Some I will follow religiously and others I just forget about. Okay then, it's about 50% ripped, then I'll rar and upload to ysi, 'k?
|
I only have 2.16GB of Mike Patton music on my computer... only...
|

Hold on, I may already have access to it. It's Delirium Cordia is it not? |
I have 58.1 MB of Mike Patton music on my computer.
I deleted everything except Tomahawk's S/T. |
My Patton stuff is:
Dillinger Escape Plan - Irony Is A Dead Scene Faith No More - Album Of The Year, Angel Dust, King For A Day, Live at the Brixton Academy, Songs To Make Love To, The Real Thing Fantomas - Amenaza Al Mundo, The Director's Cut, Delirium Cordia, Suspended Animation, Live in Toronto 04-15-2005 General Patton vs. The X-Ecutioners - Joint Special Operations Task Force Moonchild - this is a John Zorn album, but I think the band is actually called Moonchild, not sure about the album name, Patton does vocals on it Mike Patton & Kaada - Romances Mr. Bungle - Mr. Bungle, Disco Volante, California, The Raging Wrath Of The Easter Bunny, Bowel Of Chiley, Goddammit I Love America!, OU818, Live in Berkeley 01-13-1991, Eureka High School Talent Show 1985 Peeping Tom - Peeping Tom, Mojo single Tomahawk - Tomahawk, Mit Gas, Live in Manchester 07-16-2003 Maybe I'm a little obsessed... |
Maybe, but I guarantee I'm more in love with Steve Albini than you are Mike Patton.
|
Who's Steve Albini? I know the name, but I can't remember who it is...
Also, I doubt it. :p |
Big Black, Shellac, Rapeman. Produced a whole bunch of albums like Nirvana's In Utero and Slint's Spiderland. I daydream about becoming his son. I win.
|
Right.
I'm not really familiar with his bands, but I am familiar with who he is. I occasionally wish I was born five days later so I could share a birthday with Patton. :p Seriously, I love the man... I've seen his wiener! I WIN! |
Well that sucking ****s. It it exceeds the maximum allowed size. It's one track!! I'll try compressing it.

It's ok, I found another copy already. Thanks for the effort though.:thumb: Spiff, I know about all of Steve's sexual exploits. ALL OF THEM. I just found out, I have more Frank Zappa then anything else. Anyway, I'm off to sleep. Night guys. |
